      One tip - Make sure you buy the right one as the also sneakily have lower cashback options showing. Almost got the wrong Uber eats myself.

    Does anyone know if you can still use the Coles Mastercard Gift Cards on Shopback? Currently between churn Visa/MCs and only have AmEx so might have to do some laundry.

      Yes with a limit. I was able to add the Coles MC gift cards in Jan up to 4 cards before they were blocked

        Thanks. I just bought one and completed the transaction so was about to report back.

        I wasn't planning on using too many. Just to hold me over until the next churn card is approved so I don't think I'll run into the lock out.
        Do you know if it's a hard lock or just a cool down period applied?

            @trixieb: I found a similar lockout, and it lasted more than a month at the least. Then I stopped checking, until today, when it did allow me to add again.

    7-Eleven gift cards - I assume we can use this to pay for petrol? If so, can you use these in all petrol stations? (unlike the Ampol ones which are so confusing)

    And if I have an Uber discount, can I pay with gift cards?

      @Koopedup 7-Eleven gift cards can be used at petrol stations and miscellaneous food/convenience stores (see below). I've used the card at Coles Express. You can also split payment with another card to use up the balance at the petrol stations, depending on the staff. Add as a payment card (not gift card) to your google/apple wallet.

      You can pay with gift cards when you have an Uber discount.

      Strictly speaking, you cannot use the 7-Eleven gift cards at all service stations. As @trixieb has already pointed out, it is redeemable at merchants using MCC 5541 and MCC 5499, but:

      • If you use an automated fuel dispenser (aka pay-at-the-pump machine, which you typically find at unattended service stations, such as Costco’s fuel pumps, unattended Ampol service stations, unattended United service stations), that should use MCC 5542. Clause 9 of the Activ Visa gift card terms and conditions (which covers the 7-Eleven Visa gift cards in this deal) specifically calls out MCC 5542 as a blocked MCC.

      • A service station may choose to reject a 7-Eleven Visa gift card as a payment method for any reason whatsoever.

      • I have no idea whether you can use 7-Eleven Visa gift cards as a payment method through apps such as Ampol FuelPay, EG Club app, BPme, etc. I do not know the MCCs used on those apps, plus I do not know whether these apps use security checks that would cause them to reject 7-Eleven Visa gift cards.

      (unlike the Ampol ones which are so confusing)

      What is confusing about the AmpolCash Digital gift cards?

      AmpolCash Digital gift cards can be redeemed at Ampol Foodary, EG Ampol and most other Ampol service stations. The Ampol store locator on the Ampol website indicates whether an Ampol service station accepts AmpolCash Digital as a payment method.

        @WookieMonster Thanks for the detailed explanation. Do you know how long ago EG Ampol has been accepting AmpolCash digital gift cards? I haven't tried it recently. It wasn't working at EG Ampol last year.

          Probably within the last two weeks.

          When another AmpolCash Digital gift card deal was posted a number of days ago, there were comments that EG Ampol had started to accept AmpolCash Digital (which surprised me). I also checked the Ampol store locator and could see that there were a handful of EG Ampol across Australia listed as accepting AmpolCash Digital. I contacted the AmpolCash team, and they said that EG Ampol was starting to accept AmpolCash Digital gift cards.

          Early last week, I filled up at EG Ampol and noticed that there was a sign at the convenience store checkout saying that EG Ampol now accepted AmpolCash Digital. The staff member told me it started being accepted a few days earlier.

      The 10% and 8% were on the same screen. You have to select the denomination with the up arrow on it.
      It is a little sneaky.
      The 10% may also have sold out.

          Don't know why you are getting that. It's working on my Android phone.
          I can see the AmpolCash card in the ShopBack App under 'Show preview' on the card bought last year.
          Did you download the app "Passes" (or WalletPasses)? I can also view the card there.
