Got two of these. Not bad for the price. App is quite responsive compared to other camera apps. Have set it up in home bridge. Bit slower from there but works fine. Probably misconfigured it.

    • Sometimes when I pan/move the camera direction it will stuck, or more slowly then move all the way out of control. Same?

      • Have happened but not often. Tried just then and was ok. Tiny bit jerky but ok. Bit touchy controllers in app

  • any good for outdoors under cover or near a window?

    • I am planning to do exactly that. For this price I am sure I will find a good use case for it.

      • its cheap enough to leave outside tbh

        • The cloud features are very good for this camera.

            @zol: What’s good

            • @Wiadro: AI detection of people /vehicles and any activity

Gives a notification when activity happens

Records a video of the activity and it is surprisingly accurate at detecting activity. I have it setup in a window pointing towards the front yard and works very well for that

@zol: So pretty much what any camera can do

  • Don't need another IMOU camera but hey I'll buy one anyway

  • Can you use it locally, without the app?

    • +2

      Yes rtsp is supported

I avoid all online baby cameras after I caught the red light on ours on…. security on most of them suck

    • +5

It's a security camera so it's always recording. The red light in this would be the IR light for night vision. Are you sure it wasn't that?

Bought 2 - solely relying on this for the security of my baby and puppy dog, wish me and my family luck.

  • I have bought so many cameras - inner city Brisbane and have two big dogs that have kept the 2am youth crime at bay - I would honestly recommend Google cameras battery lasts for months - who really had indoor cams unless for babies it’s more about the security of the home ?

    Thanks OP, bought 2.

  • Does this support rtsp?

This seller also offers another 20% off for purchasing 3 items

    • Yeah, but not with this particular item, only the following:

      https://www.ebay.com.au/sme/imouonline_au/Extra-20-off-3-or-…

      • Still, if you wanted 3 cameras, you'd be getting an equally good deal plus a better product in this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/IMOU-WiFi-IP-Security-Camera-Pan… which is for both indoors and outdoors. Full-price is only $10 extra for a single item and with discounts, it's still only $10 more than the little brother per cam, if you purchase 3. $20 per cam is lopped off.

Not 100% sure however I think that model/link is INDOOR only, most likely a typo on the listing, can also tell by the casing design as water would seep in.

          • @4rd: Yes, that might be the case, cheers.

Thanks. Bought 4 of them, including 1x 4MP version. Will test to see if runs well.

Looks like they removed the ability to stack the code of CBTFEB24

    • +1

      It’s still working.

    • Yeah its not letting me stack them either

Hi all, anyone tried using this with a portable battery designed to recharge mobile phones? Trying to make this truely wire free!

    • I'm actually testing it with a power bank. Will report how long it will last. The web page says it's 3.5W, so with a normal 1000mAh/37Wh power bank, it should last for more than 1 hour if it runs on the full power.

      • I used an old 10000mAh/37Wh power bank can show the % left to run the camera. Almost 60% time is moving and recording. The below is

        3:22 37%
        3:36 35%
        3:47 34%
        3:56 33%
        4:03 32%
        4:41 27%

Which means it only use less than 10% for 1hour. Therefore for a standard 10000mAh power bank, it could keep recording for more than 10hours.

  • cheers bought 2 could not walk past this price lol
