Thanks OP, exactly what I was waiting for.
$25 cap in previous offer was no good for me.

    • Last time we waited we were disappointed. Hopefully we win this time.

    • ur selling stuff with fee more than $25?

  • +2

Thanks ISP! I'll UpVote this on March 1 :)

  • +6

so if I have both promos activated (this one and the $0 FVF with $25 discount cap) and make a sale, which one gets triggered?

    • +1

      This is a great question.

    • +2

Also keen to know this, I'm guessing we might have to activate one at a time

      • +4

Definitely one at a time. You have no control on what offer will apply to each listing, and half the time they mess it up, plus customer service have no idea what’s going on regardless.

    • +4

Only activate the one you want to use first. Activating multiple offers has screwed me over before

    • +1

eBay support have said that the promotion that was accepted first will apply and be "used" first and there is no way to deactivate a promotion.

      • +2

Don't count on it. I just sold my first item after activating the 3 first and then the 1 with $0 variable fee. Despite me activating the 3 first, it used the $0 variable fee one.

        • Yep same experience for me. Thankfully the $0 was used first.

      • +2

eBay CS just say whatever comes in to their heads - 100% unreliable

  • +1

    Good stuff 👍

  • +1

    hallelujah!

  • +3

"it's back" - assuming it's not a rugpull like last month. Lets not upvote until it's live eh

    • +2

      Lets not upvote until …

You can upvote the OP's effort though,
notwithstanding OP is a helpful OzB member :-)

  • Oooof - will upvote if it goes live lol

    • +2

But you already upvoted it :P

  • +1

    finally

  • here we go

  • Will I be eligible if I sign up before March for just 1 month ($4.99) ?

    • Should be fine because feeBay generally doesn't release the link on the first day of the month.

  • +1

    Yay, I like eBay again

  • +1

is it worth joining plus just to sell a thing on this?
I had it once b4, not much useful on it I found. The $5 Voucher was never valid on any items I got

or it sounds like maybe it's possible to join only a mth at a time when these deals are on, and cancel after?

    • +1

OZBers normally join when there is a $50 or $49 eBay voucher by joining feeBay Plus promotion (or at least $30 or more). These FVF waiver deals are getting worse, used to be 10 a month, then 5, then 3, now 1 (and there isn't one for Feb).

Most people join for discount code (buying items) and "free" eBay Plus postage.

    • +1

FYI Make sure you take a screen shot because it does not show up in "Promotional offers" after you accept it. May be because the T&Cs say starts "00:01 (AEDT) on 1 March 2024"? Better don't post your ad till after that time.

      • Correct, the promo starts on 01/03/2024, so definitely don't list before tomorrow.

If you want to be extra safe, wait until the promo appears on your Seller Hub Overview page in the 'Promotional offers' section before you list. As has been the case in previous months, it might not happen until later in the day.

    • +2

Where do you find these links? I've their newsletter/offering turned on alas never receive any of these emails…

Your link worked for me just fine, thank you so much.

      • +1

This morning they added the activation link to the T&C's page OP posted.

have activated the promotion by accepting these Terms and Conditions by either clicking “Accept offer” on this Terms and Conditions page or clicking “Get offer” under the “promotional offers” section of their My eBay account; and

        • I see, do you get the promo offering through email or just randomly poking around? I've tried to self serve but couldn't find either 🤷‍♂️

          • +1

@minty: No, I always hear about it from Ozb, usually from the same OP. Also, I've got an Ozb search alert setup for ebay "final value".

    • @mboy thanks again x2 <3

  • newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. it cannot be a relisted item through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal

If I previously posted an item and delete that listing, and this time I list the same item again, does it fall under the relist item criteria?

    Thank you.

    • +1

As long as you create a new listing, or click "sell similar" you'll be fine. Just don't click relist.

  • How do you accept offer? I don’t receive marketing emails from eBay?

    • Accept link is a few comments above

      • When I click link it says “you’ve accepted offer”. Does that mean I accepted the offer or the poster of that comment? I took a screenshot as recommended

        • +2

It means you accepted it. It's a generic link, not specific to me.

  • I have a listing with quantity of 25plus available and sold 30 for the same item. Is there any way i can get benefit from this deal without ending the listing as i want buyer to see i have already sold30 before. Hope it makes sense so anyone can help?

    • Makes sense, but the simple answer is no; you'd have to list the items again during the promo period (list them between 01/03 and 31/03) for it to count.

I suppose you could run both the existing listing and a new listing in parallel (two listings for the same item) and somehow incentivise the new listing so you can get the promo, but whether that's worth it is up to you.

  • My eBay Plus expires on 1 March. If I list on 1 March will the listing be eligible?

    • +1

No it will not, happened to me before. You need eBay Plus active at the time of sale.

    • If your ebay plus expires March 1 at 11.59pm
You can list it tomorrow on March 1 but it has to sell before 11.59pm or you will need to in the words of Larry Silverstein 'pull it' otherwise the fees will kick in.

  • +1

Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you

  • If I have a listing prior to this being active and it sells during March will it use the promo?

    • No

      • +1

If I also have the 3 new listing promo ($25cap) on my account do you know if it will use the no cap promo first? Not sure how this will work. Thanks for your help.

        • +1

Not too sure, I'll have to see as well.

        • Anyone who has the same issue and sold please let us know which gets used first, I made a mistake and activated both, I have an item for $1250 and three sub $100 so would suck to get $25 off for the $1250 sale, might as well cancel all but the pricey one if the 0$ no cap gets used first.

        • +1

I've had a chat with ebay, the promotional offer that was activated first gets used first.

          • +1

@fat queenslander: Same had a chat they said which ever activated first gets triggered and then next one, but I am trying to work out which offer I activated first
under my selling promotions Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings* this on left side of my selling promotions will that one go first? and then Plus Offer: Pay $0 Variable Fees on 1 new listing is beside it on the right will that go after? is there way to know which one was done first? chat couldn't tell me which one i accepted first Thanks

            • @mickos: Just got this response from eBay chat - I can certainly understand your point of view, it is possible that when you list the item it get automatically added with $ 0 variable fees off promotion but also there are changes that the system might redirect to $ 25 off variable fees promotion as the system redirects it and there is no manually option from our end to get it applied.

            • +1

@mickos: It will show the time you accepted the offer on the activation link page or seller hub, however if you accepted the offer before 1st march it won't show.

              • @I Smell Pennies: Thanks mate, yeh i accepted both of them before the 1st of March so can't see any times for activation. but I accepted the $25 off 3 new listings at 7.50pm 29/2/24 and then the $0 fee off 1 listing promotion at 9pm 29/2/24 so hoping i will list a few less value items to knock off the $25 off promotion and then list a more expensive item for the $0 variable fee on 1 listing, see how it goes Thasks

                • @mickos: I took screenshots when i activated them and can see time on screenshots but no times in the promotions activation links only you have already accepted this offer.

  • +3

Same question, I have both offers seller promotions
0% Variable Final Value Fee on 3 New Listings & [eBay Plus] $0 Variable Final Value Fee on 1 New Listing which i have activated both accidentally?
which 1 will trigger first as I wanted to list a more expensive item and hoping it takes the $0 fee first? Thanks

  • I accepted the offer successfully, then listed an item. However the promo still shows up in my seller dashboard (i.e. doe not show as "Used"). Is the promo meant to still show up in the dashboard despite listing an item?

    • yes thats normal

    • +1

There's a counter on seller hub under the relevant promo which ticks up once you sell an item.

      • Thanks. Wasn't sure if it ticked over upon listing, or upon selling. Thanks for clarifying.

  • So some guy purchased my item and then 20mins later requested a cancellation. I approved the cancellation but the promotion now comes up as used. Going to try contact eBay support tomorrow to figure out if I am still eligible for the promo for listing the same item again. Otherwise I guess I have to wait another month for the next promo

    • +2

You will still be eligible. Ebay do the credit manually after you make the next sale, but you have to contact them. Happened to me before.

      • Thanks, I'll try list it again and try contact eBay support to do a manual credit once sold

    • This exact same thing has happened to me at least twice now, so annoying. I wish people would read the descriptions more carefully. If it says no shipping, it means no shipping, or at least ask before buying.

  • +1

DAMNIT I just listed something yesterday (with the $25 off fees) before I activated the $0 variable fee offer this morning.

If I activated this one after my listing but the listing sells inside the offer period will it still be valid for the $0 variable fee offer?

    • I did the same thing and apparently its the first promo you activate that gets used first so need to sell 3 items to knock off the $25 off fees promo and then list a new listing for the $0 fees on 1 listing.

      • Damn!!!!

        • List 3 things for $1 each and local pickup and get a friend to buy them maybe? Risky because eBay might detect something fishy and ban your account.

      • +2

I just sold my first item after activating the 3 first and then the 1 with $0 variable fee. Despite me activating the 3 first, it used the $0 variable fee one.

        • Was the item you sold over ~$180 so you didn't get any fees over the $25 Variable Final Value Fee?

        • +1

Yep same here, first sale and it used $0 fee first even though I activated it after the 3 listings with $25 off now when i look at summary see this
Plus Offer: Pay $0 Variable Fees on 1 new listing
          Start:28 Feb 2024 at 20:50 AEDST
          End:31 Mar 2024 at 23:59 AEDST Used/Left 1/0

Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings*
          Start:1 Mar 2024 at 0:00 AEDST
          End:31 Mar 2024 at 23:59 AEDST
          Used/Left: 0/ 3

Was told by ebay chat it will use the first promo activated which should of been
Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings* I accepted/activated on 28/2/24 @19:50

so looks like if you activated both offers its going to take the $0 fee first sale of 1 new listing,

        • +1

Got the exact same thing here, so this invalidates what some people have said eBay Customer Service told them.

I activated the 3 listing deal ($25 off variable fees) deal first.
I activated the 1 listing deal ($0 variable fee) second (days after the first).

Sold my first item this morning (sale price $89), and it used the 1 listing ($0 variable fee) deal.

The lesson is, and I've learnt it before, that eBay CS are useless.

  • +2

Can confirm activated no cap promo first - sold 600$ value item and got the full amount. Not sure if it helps reading people here activating $25 cap first and and still getting the no cap first anyway.

  • I being charged 0.003% 🤣

  • +2

    Thanks OP!
Saved me $90 on fees and another $14 on postage!

Interestingly, I activated the $25 offer first but triggered this offer first! I ain't complaining!

The best offer I got on Fraudbook was $150 less than what I wanted.

  • Just a heads up for anyone who did the same as me:
I activated the 3 x $25 cap promo, then ended and listed as ‘Sell Similar’ for most of my listings to be eligible for this promo, then sold one thing, it worked, all good.
A day or so later I activated this promo. I then listed my most expensive item, raising the price a bit in case it sold before this promo kicked in, thinking it would be after the 3 x $25 cap one, as has been questioned a lot on here.
I just sold that item and it came under this promo, not the first one I activated. Which actually worked out well for me.
TL,DR: It seems even if you activated the 3 x $25 cap promo then this one, or vice versa, if anything was listed after whichever promo was activated second, it will be sold with the fees for that promo, not with whichever one you activated first.
Might help actually reading my whole post 🤷😁
    @I Smell Pennies

  • Can I join ebay plus now and still rake advantage of this?

  • -1

Click on one of your orders and click on "Purchase another label". You should see the promo under the 'Services' section where you choose your courier service and it should say the following statement in green text under the Sendle and Australia Post Parcel Post options: 3x 50% off postage labels for eBay Plus members until 31/3

I've never understood this. Once I do as described above it pays for and prints the label for the old item I've already posted. Am I missing something? I'll have to manually contact ebay to refund it. Wouldn't you just click on 'post your order' for the new item and it does the same thing? Also not sure if a post office will print this out for free if you don't have a printer..

    Thanks
