    Now that's a deal.

  • Does Bing Lee delivery to Melbourne?

    • Put ya postcode in the delivery option, For your answer?

  • Is this panel inferior to the 85" or i have i misread?

    • +2

Think that was the x95k but could be wrong

  • I would of pulled the trigger on this. I went for the 75" x95k for $2600 delivered last year but this is a great value proposition, not sure if even the Sony MiniLED I have is worth the extra $400-500, awesome deal here.

    • +3

The X95K is significantly better, you made the right choice considering the price difference.

  • I use this 75inch as a computer monitor. Works great running windows and games at 120fps 4.4.4 10bit VRR.

    • +1

I have a 48 inch monitor and think it's too big. How far do you sit back for 75 inches?

      • +2

        About 2m. Wall mounted.

        • +1

That's dedication. I've got a 90cm wide desk with a fancy ergotron mount.

They certainly do have a coupon code at checkout on right hand side of screen.

      • Found it you have click the arrow next to order summary.

Hmm. I'm torn between this and the C845

    • +1

      same
Think I might get this over the C845

    • I picked up the C845 for 1838 delivered. You can't beat it for that price. Lowest I could get on the X90L is 2071 delivered.

      • +1

The TCL is worse in so many ways, I had considered it when doing research last year and was turned off it so fast. Avoid if you want a good primary use tv, good as a spare tv.

        • Just got the TV. Don't forgot every review is in movie mode. When you put it in vivid the colours are comparable to my C2, amazing TV.

    • +2

Let's put it this way, almost every major discussions I've seen onlline or by TV reviewers are all saying X90L is better than miniLEDs and it's not even close.

      • +2

I looked at both for a long time and chose the Sony. Barely noticeable blooming and colour accuracy on the Sony X90L sold me. TCL 845 goes to 2000 nits vs the Sony’s 1000. But 1000 is still so bright I have to turn it down for movies.

        • If you don't have a bright room it's good enough.

        • The brightness and HDR quality are what I'm after. I will put the TV in a very bright living room and I'm a bit worried 1000 nits is not enough

      • The Sony is just the processing that covers up for it with direct lit full array. Mini Led is better not worth the extra $233 and taking it over 2k.

        • +3

Yes, but the technology and software and processing ends up being a better overall better package than pretty much all miniLED TV on the market, even the QN95c, with the exception of X95L.

Again, this isn't just me saying that, everyone is saying this.

    • +2

      Put simply, Sony > TCL.
TCL might have ridiculously bright panels but their local dimming algorithm is terrible thus making it useless. I feel like a broken record.

      • +1

Not worth the 2k for me but each to their own. You can calibrate the TCL and it fixes up really well.

        • +2

And that’s ultimately what it comes down to, your budget. They’re by no means a bad TV as long as you’re not a pedantic person. Don’t go nitpicking and you’ll be completely content for the price. My mate has a 75” C745 and it’s surprisingly good.

        • +1

You can't calibrate away worse dimming algorithm or motion handling and people complaining about firmware issues on the TCL.

      • Just got the TV. Don't forgot every review is in movie mode. When you put it in vivid the colours are comparable to my C2, amazing TV.

  • I duno I wasn't impressed with my cousins 85" X90L put of the box. Does it need lots of calibration or something?

Picture wasn't sharp and colours didn't pop. 4k YouTube and Disney + did not impress.

    • Yes, TV needs calibration. Look at calibration setting from RTINGS. Out of box colours look artificial and black levels are not great.

I've had this exact TV for almost 6 months and I have to say the colour and upscaling is excellent. As for the mini LED vs fully array argument, there is slight blooming on very dark scenes but 95% of the time during dark scenes I'm very happy with the black levels. I got this $2600 delivered (needed new TV, couldn't wait) so this is an awesome deal if you can still get it. It's just a pity you can get the X95L here.
