  one thing to note with intel gen 8 and 10, both are using the same igpu. only from the gen 11 we have iris igpu which people say much better than previous ones

  Can the USB-C port be connected to a dock to charge and output to 2 monitors? I've always had good experiences with Lenovo laptops for work but never used Dell.

    Currently using a Precision 5550 with a Dell dock WD19 connected via the USB-C port. This dock will charge the laptop and run 2 external monitors.

    Not sure if this also applies to the Precisions in this deal.

  In need of a newer laptop for the inlaws. Current one is an old HP that is ridiculously slow.
  Would this 8th gen or 10th gen ones be nice and fast running Windows 11 ?
  They only use the laptop for banking/social media/emails
  $360 delivered seems like a good price to pay to get them to stop asking me how to make their laptop quicker lol

    Specs wise it would be a perfect pairing but there are lighter options than this one out there. The Thinkpad T490s, for example, has around half a kilo on this Dell.

  Any more specs on the FHD LCD? spec sheet has these FHD non-touch options, of which assume is the first one, which may typically be 220-250nit low brightness:
