Definitely handy if I die before the end of the year

      • But what if you end up at Heaven instead?

You're just gonna have to be real bad in the for the rest of this year to make sure you get this deal - lol.

    • Throw away the forward half and then you have a ticket out of hell. :)

  • this service has been few years alrdy

    • Please tell me how I can use it in January?

A normal bus from Singapore to Johor Bahru would only cost you between AUD1-2. Only the most hardcore ozbargainer would think that it's a good deal. JB is my hometown, feel free to give me a call if you need any assistance. There isn't much to do but visit Legoland and Johor Premium Outlets.

And yes, that bus station is pretty much Hell on earth.

        • they could be heading to Danga Bay (ha ha). is the crime rate and snatch thefts in JB still as bad these days?

        • ooo thanks for the tip! $1 is not worth the hassle.

        • Funnily enough, after a recent trip around SE Asia, Johor was probably one of my favourite places to go, cheap and good quality clothing, no hassle and friendly people.

Went through Kotaraya bus terminal, nice and modern and organised. I would only recommend this if you have carry on luggage or backpacks, as lugging suitcases around meant it took longer and we missed our waiting bus after immigration twice!

  • omg. I suppose the biggest hassle would be at the CIQ (Customs, Immigration & Quarantine) checkpoints, but in the true spirit of ozbargain it'd be worth a try (or not). And if so, be mindful of the time of day you start your journey, the queues in the morning and evening are an eye-opening experience indeed.

  • It's "Johor" not "Jahor"

      Thanks, ryanton1121.

        and it's "ryantan1121" not "ryanton1121"

  • Having used this service in the past 2 weeks, you will save SGD$7 to Johor with the return fare to Changi Ringit 7. Be aware, the double border crossing takes some time, so avaoid peak hour

  • As a Malaysia from Johor I wouldn't recommend anyone go there unless your going to Tioman.

  • Without a doubt some of the best roti and murtabak in Peninsular Malaysia. Laaarv JB

  • Premium factory outlet in JB?! … may give that a try in the future. I only remember the dodgy Holiday Inn "shopping centre" after taking a cab across from Sim Lim Singapore. The good old days of going to JB for chewing gums, pirated VCDs and cheap seafood.

    • Now is bag snatching, robbery and rape cases. And hiked up prices to rip off Singaporeans.

  • +1

    JB is hell… lol

  • Ohh comeon JB is not that bad, no doubt a Singaporian posted this deal.. ;)

  • Tiger Airways. Let me just say you get what you pay for.
