I didn’t think these things needed to be cordless but why do they need Bluetooth?

    Do they have band 28?

    • it connects via bluetooth to their dust extractor so it turns off and on when required AFAIK

    • I didn’t think these things needed to be cordless but why do they need Bluetooth?

You can program some functions via BT AFAIK ? Like the RPM if you're cutting different stuff. Also likely lets Bosch harvest data from you for whatever reason :(

I have the bigger saw on order from TKD, from the deal published before but they sent me the wrong one (corded model not battery), so it went back and the one I ordered has just been re-sent, what a cluster fu*k :)

Bluetooth I dunno but ANC would be nice

  • dont know why i bought this ryobi (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-184mm-mitre-saw-sk…). 184mm is way too limited for any slightly more serious renovation work.

this bosch is 216mm, slightly wider…

but maybe a 10"/ 255mm compound saw could be more useful (https://www.bunnings.com.au/makita-255mm-10-compound-saw-ls1…)?

btw, my ryobi is battery powered and it is …. weak…. :(

    • The Bosch bi turbo is NOT the same (305mm at least), there are videos of it on YT cutting seasoned hardwood railway sleepers with ease.

      • no doubt! biturbo is great. but i think i may better wait for a deal for a 8inch saw.

  • the amazon review seems great! (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-Professional-0601B41000-18V-2…)

have one hour to make my decision.

  • how many nits?

  • I have no need for this, but I have a strong desire to get one and just start cutting up bits of timber
