Kids travel free between the City and Brisbane Airports.

Airtrain tickets are only valid on Airtrain or Queensland Rail services. Transfers are not permitted to bus or ferry services. A new journey will commence when customers transfer to a bus or ferry service.

Airtrain stations

Airtrain stations are located at the Domestic Airport and the International Airport, directly in front of each terminal(Link opens in new tab/window) so access is easy for passengers with luggage.

You can catch the Airtrain(Link opens in new tab/window) to travel between every South East Queensland train station and Brisbane Airport(Link opens in new tab/window). Airtrain offers a direct express service from Gold Coast stations to Brisbane Airport travelling via Brisbane City.

Passengers using the Gold Coast Light Rail (G:link) connect to Airtrain(Link opens in new tab/window) at Helensvale station.

  • It's not just Brisbane and GC. Sunshine Coast line (Landsborough, Palmwoods etc) + Gympie North are included.

    Also anything in the city as far as South Brisbane (not South Bank) is cheaper. We paid $42 for 2 return trips this week to the international airport.

    CBD to Airport is $22 return.

    Can you still have minimal amount of money on a Go card, then tap off at the airport (and throw that Go card away)? Deposit for the card is $5 for concession, $10 for adult, still cheaper than what it actually charges to go to the airport when we did that. That was years ago though
