Pay using Smart Ticketing. To use contactless payment, you must tap on with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express on the train station gates and card readers. You can use a physical contactless debit or credit card, smartphone, smart watch, or smart device.
Kids travel free between the City and Brisbane Airports.
Airtrain tickets are only valid on Airtrain or Queensland Rail services. Transfers are not permitted to bus or ferry services. A new journey will commence when customers transfer to a bus or ferry service.
Airtrain stations
Airtrain stations are located at the Domestic Airport and the International Airport, directly in front of each terminal(Link opens in new tab/window) so access is easy for passengers with luggage.
You can catch the Airtrain(Link opens in new tab/window) to travel between every South East Queensland train station and Brisbane Airport(Link opens in new tab/window). Airtrain offers a direct express service from Gold Coast stations to Brisbane Airport travelling via Brisbane City.
Passengers using the Gold Coast Light Rail (G:link) connect to Airtrain(Link opens in new tab/window) at Helensvale station.
It's not just Brisbane and GC. Sunshine Coast line (Landsborough, Palmwoods etc) + Gympie North are included.
