      • I agree…I've been churning, buying gift cards for bonus spends for 10+. years. Including Westpac.

Just wondered if this was a new thing with new Westpac cards.

FWIW..I couldn't actually buy any. Transaction fails every time…called and spoke to both gift cards and Westpac..They have no reason for the failure. So maybe the new cards are simply not allowing transactions from this merchant.

Logged a formal complaint with Westpac. See what happens .

        • I'm sure you're aware of the recent deal where it's been happening to everyone with nearly all cards. It's likely the site's aggressive anti-fraud/promo limiter and not Westpac.

          • @wangasm: Yeah..i don't know. I reached out to both for answers. Its a weird one, as it produces an OTP, which suggests the seller is happy with the transaction. Westpac are suggesting it may actually be Mastercard doing the rejecting. He looked up a 'risk score', which was 50..whatever that means. But felt that should have been approved.

  • I didn’t see any term like one transaction per customer, but my transaction failed when paying my second batch. What’s wrong?

  • I opened the link but don't see purchase fee waived. Is this already expired?

It's highlighted at the top of the item description "No Purchase Fee"

      • i didn't notice it. Thanks.

It would be nice if they would actually let me pay instead of rejecting my credit cards.

  • Great deal. There are ways to turn these into cash at a fee of 0.3% so happy to buy as many as possible for good old MS spend

    • +3

      How is that possible mate?

Please note its limit of 1 order a day. Terms and conditions are included when you order.

    • Just did an order for 2 cards, followed by 4 cards on the same day, both went through and paid to ATO successfully

      • Did you try ordering 10 cards at the same time and then ordering another 10?

        Terms are below.

Terms were updated: "Offer ends 31/3/24 5pm"

  • :( All three cards (churning with some ozbargain learning!) resulted in failef transactions— contact customer service…so I did…apparently they flicked it to tech assistance-…who wont be back until Monday… :(

  • Suppose these will be good to pay ato ? That’s probably better way to earn points

    • +1

Yep. Each $250 card can do $249.50 for the ATO. 50 cents is the 0.2% fee.

      • +1

It is the cheapest way to pay ATO and still earn points excluding when this gift card on 10% off. Note ATO caps payments to 10 unprocessed transactions a day max 20 payment over 2 days. Following the 20. If its over the weekend you cant pay anymore transactions until they appear on the account which can take a couple of days.

          You can also use Easypay.
I have made the following payments through Mygov in Sept 23.
          1 September - 9
          2 September - 10
          3 September - 10
          4 September - 10
          6 September - 10
          8 September - 10 plus 5 through Easypay.
I think in the past I have made even more.

@Yola: Its 20 pending transaction. If they don't show up on your account the 21st won't process.

The 10 transaction limit doesn't exist. Thats just the purchasing limit from the vendor. But the previous days transaction can effect the current day if they don't show up.

Personally preferred the ease and time saving of digital compared the % saved with finding/entering physical cards
