    Internet that flies.

  • Is this the cheapest 100/20 for 6 months?

    • if you're after cheap, this is it!

      • Nah! If you really want cheap internet just hack into your neighbours.

    • Tangerine is currently $64.90 for 6 months also. That’s who I swapped over to

    • +1

No. cheapest should be tangarine with FTTP upgrade ($20 discount ) with Bupa offer ($15 discount).
      Maybe expired now?

      • -3

        What’s Bupa

      • Expired

I would recommend this, a resaler of Superloop network. 59/month for 6 months.

Need 30 days notice to cancel but can be done on their dashboard

      • Well done, good find!

      • +2

That's great… for people who want half the speed.

        • +2

          It's $59 for the 100/20

    • Pronto have a 100/20 typical evening speed 95/17 for 59.00

    • This for Flip NBN. There was a company called Proton or something doing 50mbps for very cheap, perhaps the post was deleted though/they are already out of business 🤣

      • Pronto? It was talked about just above your comment.

        • Appears I can’t read. I blame my slow internet.

Dodo. Dodo. Internet that flies. At $9.90 a month. Connect yourself with Dodo.

    • +1

This is a core memory that hasn't surfaced in years, but I just learnt I remember the whole thing

  • Using Optus network that's holding me back given all our mobiles are currently Optus. Feels like putting all eggs in one basket here. Did Dodo get affected from that last outage?

    • It’s nbn. Isn’t that independent of mobile networks? Genuine question

    • Nah Dodo is part of Vocus so use the Vocus network for NBN, only thing they use Optus for is mobile phones.
Oh and mobile broadband if they still offer it.

  • My notice with Exetel ends next week, I think this one's it folks. Thank you

    • How's exetel?

      • Never had any issues

      • Used ot for 8 months.. never had issues

    • +1

      Takes 30 days to cancel

    • For an extra 45 cents per month over 12 months why not go with a proper RSP like LeapTel instead?

      https://leaptel.com.au/plans/?provider=nbn

Stay away from those incompetent shower of bastards Dodo.

      • -1

        Um Leaptel is $75 pm 10 100/20… Dodo is 64… $10.45 more

        • -1

Um, how long is the Dodo discount on the 100/20 plan?

After 6 months what does the Dodo plan go up to?

Now how long is the discount on the Leaptel 100/20 plan? I'll give you a hint, 12 months.

          • -1

@shutuptakemymoney101: Thats if ur dumb enough to stay with Dodo.. 99.9% of ppl that churn, leave when the promo is up and churn to one of the other 15 or so providers that offer similar price/offer so can't really use that for comparison.. you can only compare 6 vs 6 months..

            • @Gavman: Doesn't take long to churn and burn all the providers who give introductory prices, most only give you 6 months on the cheaper price for 100Mbps plans and above unlike LeapTel.

As for Dodo, you would have to be dumb to go with that shit show to begin with.

      • I was with Dodo for years, they were adequate when I was with them. Maybe not the best, but was fine for Netflix and browsing.

      • I am having a real bad experience with Leaptel right now. It been down a few times in the past couple of week already. Hours not minutes. North Melbourne

So far been with Superloop, Exetel, Tangerine. Never had downtime. Leaptel is awful

        • Have you tried contacting them? What did they say? What NBN technology do you use?

There are no widespread outages being reported on the Whirlpool LeapTel thread so more than likely something specific to your setup, give LeapTel a call and I'm sure they'll do what they can to help.

Any time I've had to call LeapTel I've been able to get straight through, not having to battle overseas call centres is a blessing as well.

'Churn' you say .. 🤨 .. ?? If you mean stop contract and start anew, usually the fine print in these intro offers limits the household to one pass at the 6 month discount .. of course if you mean 'then go elsewhere' .. OK .. where .. 🤔 ??

Footnote: The 'delayed start' option is limited to 30 days .. 😣 ..!!

Edit: Churn option appears further down in OzB .. Flip .. 😂 .. !!

    • 🤦‍♂️

    Anyone have experience with Dodo?

    • +1

It was bad, I have been with them for like 10 years because Dodo was the cheapest internet provider but now I'm with Aussie Broadband. Way better…

      • +5

Can’t be that bad if u we’re with them for 10
        Years

        • Nope! They are that bad and I was with them for 5 years

        • I was too lazy to switch ISP.

      • +1

Aussie vs dodo is like business class vs flying in the fking undercarriage.

  • so they cannot even guarantee 20mbps upload, they have to advertise it 17?

    • Probably playing it safe.

  • I wish churn and burn were a thing but alas we have churn and get tangerined. Churning now increases your odds of getting doxxed. Just something to think about. Is it worth saving $20 a month? It sucks that I have to think about possible serious consequences (for me not the company) just to save money.

    • Sorry what consequences?

      • They are referring to multiple businesses having your personal info and the inability of them business to keep it safe. eg. Optus and all the rest

        • Oh right got it.. at this point I think all businesses in Australia have my personal info hahaha

      • Recent tangerine data breach. Presumably churned to them

        • I fortunately opted for Leaptel which had a website that looked about 20 years old. Was close to choosing Tangerine though.

    • Didn't understand the consequences either 😂

    • I didn’t churn, only been with tangerine for about 6 years… still got caught up. May as well save money 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dodo, Dodo, internet that kept billing me months after I left and then about a year after it was finally sorted and refunded billed me out of the blue for another month……………No thanks Dodo, never ever again.

    • +1

Yes, all the brands related did this to me and only barely managed to get the money back, Eftel, Dodo and iPrimus despite shutting the accounts through the required methods at the time.

      • Worse than quitting a gym!

  • I’ve been with Telstra for years, would I need to buy a new modem to move to another NBN company or can I use the same modem? Thanks

    • I have used Telstra modems in the past no problem. It depends on the modem, but should work with most.

  • OP may wish to update. I think it’s $59 a month now, $80 ongoing after 6 months.

Looks like NBN is giving discounts on the 50mbps speed tier help move Australians up.

    • But this is 100/20. That’s 50.

  • Just signed up, via the link provided on this post - internet has successfully churned across, but when I login to my Dodo, it’s just showing my monthly plan for NBN 100 as $85.

For anyone who has also signed up, is this normal, or should the discount be reflected?

Edit: scratch that - I went to billing and it’s showing $64. Leaving this post for anyone who has the same issue when signing up

    • Hmmm I was charged 85

      • just followed up, they have now manually applied teh discount, for some reason it wasn't initially applied.

  • Switched today from More. Signed up for '100/20' but only getting download speeds of 50-80mbps. And upload peaks at around 16mbps. Did a little research and found out that Vocus Communications provides internet services for More and Dodo… So basically they are the same (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I had crappy speeds with More before as well, never hit the 100mbps that it's supposed to be. Shame!

  • Do they provide public ip? Or its cgnat

  • Guys just be warned to start your nbn one day earlier with dodo. I am left without Internet today. I rang them up at 4pm. And the activation team said it will be activated before 7:45pm. It's 6:45 pm so I am still waiting.
