I checked random dates Sept school hols & early December out of Melbourne code worked. (Melb->Nadi return)
Tried to book Perth to LA in Oct, returning in November. Got the same error.
You have to book from east coast. Also some dates/fares won't accept the code.

Code worked when I tried to Nadi and LA for spring break.
Just a reminder it's 30% off base fare (excluding taxes). So SYD-NAN fare effectively drops about 18% as an example.

Not necessarily. Ozbargain shows even Qantas has gone lower in the past (albeit a number of years ago; not sure about November tho - see https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/154414). Last time I flew these guys I vowed never again.

Just booked Melb - LA in November. I'd been keeping an eye out for a deal. it was only a little bit cheaper than booking their "Lite" fare (promo code only worked for "Value" i think the fare was called) but it included checked luggage so very much worth it. thanks OP.

Code doesn't appear to work at all. Tried a few dates through August and from melb to Vancouver, LA and San Francisco. None worked.
There website is a train wreck, when you put the promo code in the prices are the same as without a promo code, but it doesn't tell you that.
It's really hard to find what flights it works for or when the promo code has worked. Tried for Sept, and Jan 2025, no dice.
