Compared to the TCL P745 65" for $500?
I had a unknown asian brand "Samsung" phone back in the 5110 days. Got laughed at. Turned out to be as good as a Nokia, but never owned anything Samsung since.
This TV seems pretty basic (50hz, no Dolby Vision…but still uses 120 -200 watts).
Also thought this store got some bad press for post sale / warranty support?

@tunzafun001: I still prefer a sammy over a TCL, also planning to sell it in a year for a bigger TV so better resell value
@easternculture: Probably right there..which is odd as I read everyone saying "happy, my Samsung lasted 3 years". Which to me is terrible. Never had a TV die ever…and I've got a couple of Chineseium OEMs and Panasonic's.
Half tempted to just grab an OEM OLED…Skyworth / Metz for around $700 for a 65 delivered ..but that means no real warranty.
How much do you think you will get for the Samy?
@tunzafun001: 5 year old sammys sell 300 to 400 on marketplace, so 1 year old would sell 500 easy under warranty
My inlaws 75 sammy has been running for 6 years so far no issues and it was a refurb

@kn0x: Well..I went to the actual Samsung page…shocker!! Apparently this TV has " Undefined:8 "… So it has 8 undefined's apparently?? and a "good viewing angle". But filtered through the gibberish and found what I needed. Uses too much power, yet doesn't support Dolby Vision..and only 50hz.
Just a note, description in post is very wrong indeed. The cu8000 is definitely not a direct full array, it does not have a one clear cable either.

Yeh noticed that on 65 inch tv today
I raised a case with Samsung as the 45% off promo mentioned it runs until 31/3 so they are checking if they can honour that price even though they dropped it to 31% off a day later which also runs until 31/3

it's ok at everything and terrible at nothing.
decent for sport, 4k/60hz gaming.
the only downside honestly would be it's just not bright enough.
but for this price it's a 9/10 purchase.
