TP-Link Deco S4 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi Router System 3-Pack $144 Delivered @ Harris Technology eBay

MARSAVEFEBSAVE

Looks to be lower than previous deals, M4 was $149 recently, this slightly beats it (same specs I believe but just a slightly different form factor).

Has gigabit ethernet ports, E4 is also on sale for $124 from these guys, but no gigabit ports.

  • and another option is $199 on amazon for S7 already posted

      Was contemplating that as my good guys order has been in limbo for a couple of months now…

      Figured for the price difference the S4 should be okay for myself, but S7 is definitely a better option if you want to spend the extra $50 :)

  • Mesh Wi-Fi noob here - do these work with your existing modem/router or replace it?

    • +1

      This one replaces the modem.

      There are some that still require the modem from my (somewhat) limited research, but this one doesn't need a modem.

        maybe if fttp then no need modem but just this deco? but becareful only certain newer deco are compatible
        if fttn then yes need modem and router meaning modem and this deco
        not too sure too

        • All Deco's are compatible with FTTP and not just the newer Deco's.

          FTTP = nbn NTD + TP-Link Deco S4 router.

            @Twix: Ah thanks to clarify. So all deco can act as router for fttp

        • Sorry I should have clarified my setup, yes I have FTTP and using a ZTE modem.

          • @krushgroove: Yeah replace the ZTE with the TP-Link Deco. Are you with Exetel?

    • Make the move to mesh. I was running a modem router + Cisco enterprise access point at home. My deco mesh $h!ts all over my old setup, faster speeds everywhere and no drop outs. The easy to use app with parental controls is also a great bonus.

      Deco router replaces your existing setup in most cases. If you use a VoIP phone and 4G failover from your ISP the setup may change.

      FTTN, FTTB = VDSL2 modem + TP-Link Deco S4 router. Deco's DSL variants can replace both a VDSL2 modem and Deco S4 router.
      FTTC = nbn NCD + TP-Link Deco S4 router.
      FTTP, HFC, Fixed Wireless = nbn NTD + TP-Link Deco S4 router.

  • What's the difference between S4/S7 and X50? AC1200 vs AX3000?

  • This vs Netgear Orbi?

  • Shoud I get expensive wifi 6 or this one for home use? currently FTTP 100/20 by the way.

    Just a note, you'll need the app and create an account to set-up and to access the device.

    • That sucks
