    Samesies on Amazon

  • Terrible reviews on Amazon.

I believe the terrible reviews are when people try to pair with non Asus routers.

      • To be expected

  • Will this work with the asuswrt-merlin firmware on an RT-AX88U?

    • +1

that's exactly what I have right now. all works well except my Samsung mobile.

      • I just purchased the repeater. Thanks for your comment.

I have this model and can confirm even with Asus mesh setup, the Asus app does not work well (keeps falling out of Mesh network despite having MULTIPLE Asus mesh units surrounding it), however if you use a lan cable with it, it works fine and the signals are superb.

    • Are you saying if you use a LAN cable to make it part of the mesh? Or use a LAN cable to make it an extender or something else? I'm keen to extend my mesh and have Lan cables across the house

  • What is the difference with a node? A cheap asus model should do the same job.

    e.g. This was $89
    RT-AX1800S (AX1800)

    • for me, it needs to go outside and i have small kids i don't want wires everywhere, I have a 68U which is a pain in the A to mount. this is plug in and done

I couldn't find any information indicating that this is suitable for outdoor installations

        • +1

it isn't exposed to weather, it will be in an outdoor room

grabed it at JB with PM.

Great price, it's been stubbornly high.

  • Be aware using extenders and mesh without dedicated backhaul WiFi band you will slow down your bandwith and increase your latency on the WiFi connections.

Not an issue for most just mentioning. If you can wire in Access Points always do that instead.

  • Back to normal price
