My QCii left ear bud volume is too low in 13th month and they asked for $279 for repair.
Bought AirPods for $30 extra.
I would have asked them if the 1-year warranty policy is valid against the Australian Consumer Law. A couple of times for other electronics (international brands) have said 1-year warranty but when I quizzed them on the ACL they agree that the warranty can be honoured for 1> year. Interesting!
Even though you already bought another pair of headphones, might be worth a shot asking them if their claim is valid against ACL and you might get a free brand new pair to keep/sell. To me, 13 months for a $400 pair of headphones before becoming defective doesn't seem reasonable.

Try carefully sticking a toothpick or pin into the little microphone hole on the left bud and cleaning it by swirling it around the edge and picking outward, then blow air into it.
Worked on my Jabra's that had the same issue. There was no visible gunk removed, but for some reason even a small amount of dust can interfere with the microphone and cause low volume.
One earbud volume low is probably earwax, I've had that and I cleaned them up and the volume went back up
How did you clean them?
@Commenter: Probably a terrible way that's going to degrade it over time but I gently scrub it with a lightly damp toothbrush, and sometimes I put the little hole (not the main driver) to my mouth and blow haha, I feel like it blows wax back out the main opening. Probably terrible for them, but not sure what else to do. Seems to do the trick.

@Harsh Dave: Walked into rundle mall store. Showed the receipt but still wouldn't honour it. The guy said that is staff price and don't know who gave it at that price…but he can't do that. Haha
Tried at DFO South Wharf in Melbourne, no go for me. Sales guy said can't match that

Off topic but I made a warranty claim for my Bose QC Earbuds II and apparently they just send this newer version instead as a replacement.
Hopefully its an upgrade!
