  • This sale is also potentially handy to get cheap flights to connect to the crazy international Scoot sale on at present.

Can't imagine 7kg carry-on is much use for connecting flights to Athens, Guangzhou or Tokyo though. Might be suitable for hotter places (SG you could likely get away with).

And if youre wondering, both Scoot and Jetstar are likely to weigh. Their planes can handle whatever carry-on just fine, but if they can nickel and dime you they will.

    • Can't imagine 7kg carry-on is much use for connecting flights to Athens, Guangzhou or Tokyo though. Might be suitable for hotter places

Travel when it's warm and you can go almost anywhere with 7kg, Athens especially as a gateway the Greek Islands. I've done multiple month-long holidays through the US and Europe with only 7kg. It's easier than you think.

And if youre wondering, both Scoot and Jetstar are likely to weigh

Easy to get around to some extent by loading up what you're wearing during check-in (put all your heavy stuff in your pockets, then unload immediately afterwards)

      • Gotta get me a pair of cargo pants.

    • jet star is fine domestically, but scoot internationally is horrible. it's cheap, but not worth the discount for me. i don't mind paying more for more comfort, entertainment, and food. i will never fly scoot again.

Depends on “more”. Would pay $200 more max for a better Airline that Scoot. Other than that, I would prefer the $201 in my pocket

        but scoot internationally is horrible

        Which part specifically?

I'm always curious about this since a seat is a seat. And since Qantas has the same seat pitch as Scoot but less than half the price which part is 'horrible' that's worth paying more than double for?.

i don't mind paying more for more comfort,

What specifically since all modern economy airline seats are pretty much the same, the only difference is seat pitch?

        entertainment

Load up your phone for free

        and food.

$15 for a meal. For that you rather pay $500+ more? This makes no sense.

  • Look at the comments section; Jetstar is still terrible. It's not just ozbargainers that harsh ;-)

    • lol, that is why i said domestically for an hour or 2. that is all i can tolerate, lol.

definitely not internationally for 8+ hours.
