insane price for a $500 headset from 2019, but i prefer the gsp 370

    • but i prefer the gsp 370

      why?

      • +2

x4-x5 the battery life and lighter

        • They look good for $89

          • @jv: EPOS range are heavey headset

I have a set of these, at first getting use to the sound was odd [came from a corsair] but… after a few days, much wow.

still use them to this day, battery life is exceptional, sound is incredible.

my only con would be sometimes the BT connection will get the jitters (happen on both my phones, both oppo, maybe oppo related)

    • If your dongle is plugged into your pc/lappy, get a usb extender and hang it somewhere away from the power source. πŸ‘Œ

For max volume I feel they're a little lacking but they are indeed very crisp. My mates has lasted longer than mine with no faults (3+ years), mine have been back twice but I tend to use the dials (power on/off, mic stored) a lot more than he does when parking them after a session.

Last fault for me was the mic cables breaking from the solder causing it to drop out altogether. That and replacing the headphone cups. Other than that they've been awesome, to the point I'd nearly buy these as a backup pair.

    • I've owned this headset for about 2 years now. It grew on me. I bought it when my previous headset failed. The software issues this thing has have been frustrating.

I use this about 12hrs a week and I needed to recharge it every couple of weeks initially. Lately the battery life is closer to 5hrs and I've been considering doing a battery replacement which isn't too hard to do fortunately.

I use this headset with the wireless dongle and it cuts the latency I felt using it in Bluetooth mode originally for gaming, but I reckon using it in WiFi mode is what's killing the battery quickly.

All in all the build quality of the headset is great but the software isn't desirable at all with the constant drops and weirdness that happens as the battery level dips below 40%.

Definitely a very worthwhile purchase at $99!

Solid price, my GSP550s from this deal in 2021 are still going strong. If these are built anything like those, they'd be good cans for gaming!

    • +1

same! I'm also using 550s and they are still going strong, no wear on the ear cushions or such.
Shame not everyone is aware of them since they check all the lists in my book:

Big enough earcups to fit the whole ear, USB output is very important, looks very sleek and the mic sounds amazing.

RRP for the hanger is $49?? Do shops just make this stuff up?

  • How does 7.1 audio work on these headphones?

I use my Sony XM3 for video and games at home.

    • +1

      Software driven like most.

      • Hmm. I may have to google it. I was thinking maybe it had seven tiny speakers and one itty bitty subwolfer.

        • +1

Audio quality is okay, it was a big step down in the quality of bass from my old Roccat Kave that died after many many years.

Mid to high range is solid quality I think personally, so gaming with voice chat is decent with these. Listening to shows/movies and music is less desirable and feels like I dunno, less impactful? Voice chat comes across very crisp. The mic is also good for the voice chat I've been told by mates.

Either way though, $99 for a product that was built collab with Sennheiser is amazing value.

The wireless range in WiFi mode is exceptional. The battery life was decent enough for my use case initially, though the battery seems to have degraded a lot over 2yrs with use about 2/7 days weekly for about 12hrs tops of use weekly. Originally needed a charge every couple of weeks, now needs one every 5hrs or so.

The software is terrible and there are dropouts that happen with the software crashing (have used it on Windows 7, 10 and 11, behaves the same on all). If you don't believe me on this, just google "gsp 670 software issues" and you'll find this. I've tried various things to have a more consistently stable experience, but it's just too temperamental haha πŸ˜…πŸ˜….

Hope that helps someone decide on this. I would definitely buy it again for $99 but I wouldn't buy it for the original price I did.

  • thanks, op ordered one.

  • How’s the mic on this for meetings/WFH?

    • I don't personally use this for WFH, only for gaming. Have a cheap Jabra for WFH.

That being said, the mic quality is great for voice chat in games, so this should be fine for meetings and voice chat. It's got a directional mic that rests infront of your mouth so I can't see any issues with that front. Gaming mates have said my mic sounds good πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Real issue that presents itself is likely the battery life degradation with daily use. YMMV but it's a great headset for this price! I wouldn't recommend to buy it for original price I paid for it!

    • I have been using for both gaming and WFH for about 18 months with zero issues and absolutely no complaints from callers.

  • +1

Just be aware, i had these awhile ago and returned it because the mic quality was horrible. Though to me it's probably normal for wireless headsets as there's limited bandwidth. I ended up with the wired H6Pro.

    • How is the sound quality of H6Pro vs 670?

  • Have these headphones and overall they're great had them 2 years I'ver had to replace the earpads once tho but cheap replacements on ebay
the microphone is a little average but good enough I think I got them for $200 in a deal but this deal is much better

  • Code is not working for me too…

  • I added the hanger to the headphone and used the code to get the discount down to around $99. If you don't add the hanger, you might not be able to get the price that low

    • +1

Yes, it worked. Thanks for the pointer. But i am now reading the post below πŸ€”

  • PLEASE READ THIS THREAD BEFORE BUYING https://www.reddit.com/r/sennheiser/comments/xxb0kf/whats_up…

These are comments from recent purchaser <1year

I bought mine through officework, and can confirm the audio quality is really awful not sure if thats because its wireless might have to try wired today and comeback with result

  • Thanks store rep (op) just looked at some reviews and pulled the trigger!

  • code not working for me, anyone else have this issue?
edit - had to add hanger for it to work.

  • Getting crazy mixed messages - is this a really unreliable headset, or a really good one? Sound quality and connection issues still prevalent? Have they fixed the software?

  • How is this gaming headset compared to the headphone like Sennheiser HD 458BT?

  • what size head or ears would you say these are for? how adjustable is the headband?

  • +1

Code isn't working for me either. Hanger and headset are both in the cart. But code won't work.

  • Just my miniature review:

From reading reddit etc, a lot of people had problems with connectivity, buzzing, sound quality, the software, the list goes on.

For $100, for a WFH headset that I can listen to music on, they are great. No buzzing or sound issues here. Headphone mount is surprisingly useful as well as it means the huge headset doesnt take up space on my desk.

Clamping pressure is a little high, and for some reason, when I take them off sometimes some of my hair get stuck in the headband which gets pulled out :(. But hopefully these issues will resolve as I continue to use the headset.

All round they're great for $100.

  • Anyone having issues receiving this? My status is still processing… I reached out to support who said they have stock but there might be a delay??

    • The vendor reached out and sorted this immediately. Thanks Wireless1!
