Xiaomi Portable Air Pump 2 US$24.21 (~A$37.10) Sold Out, Xiaomi Air Pump 1S US$20.75 (~A$31.80) Shipped @ Cutesliving AliExpress

A new record low price on both the Xiaomi Air Pump 1S and 2 for anyone in the market for one or another (like myself). These are essentially small battery powered air compressors designed for pumping up smaller tyres like those found on bike, e-scooters and mobility scooters. They can be used to top up car tyres, but it will take longer due to the lower flow rate/battery than a more dedicated compressor.

Edit: The Air Pump 2 is sold out - only the 1S is instock.

Since this is an air compressor it's not suitable for filling up air mattresses, paddleboards, beach balls etc unless you use a special adapter (i.e. something like this found all over AliExpress), however it won't be perfect.

The main difference between the 1S and 2 is that version 2 inflates 25% faster (15L/pm flow rate in 1S), has multiple adapters including a quick connect adapter, an electric scooter preset mode and increased light brightness.

Both go up to 150 PSI, can be set to PSI/BAR, has USB-C charging and an inbuilt light.

If you can't beat inflation… Well, at least you can join in with a Xiaomi portable air pump.

    • +3

Why did the economist carry a Xiaomi portable air pump everywhere?

Because they knew if they couldn't beat inflation, they could at least pump up their savings!

      • +1

This economist is full of hot air.

        • A deal to pump my confidence

    • -1

      albo's air compressor

  • Finally a decent price on this

  • +9

Have both models and can confirm the Pump 2 is worth the extra $.

    • Exactly looking for this opinion in the comment section. Thanks.

Anyone knows how this goes compared to the typical ozito 18v pxc/aldi/other 18v jobbie?

    • Also curious. I have the Aldi version and can recommend if you already have the batteries on hand
      https://www.aldi.com.au/special-buys/special-buys-sat-2-marc…

      • +1

I got the Ozito one and it looks very similar, but the screen is a bit bigger and clearer which is good for me since I am going blind

    • I had air outlet overheating and eventually pressure mis-reading problems with a pump very similar to the Xiaomi here, so I grabbed the drill-shaped Ozito 18v pump skin from Bunnings since I have a few PXC batteries.

It worked fine for a few months of occasional car tyre top-up use, but then it also started to mis-read tyre pressures, not stopping at the preset since it read the pressure to be much lower. I was checking with another gauge, suspicious when a 2psi top-up went on for way too long.

However, I didn't want yet another charger and battery format, so I just had Bunnings do a quick swap for another one the same which has been working fine for over a year. Hopefully it keeps working OK, since it pumps quite quick compared to that original Xiaomi look-alike. The Ozito warranty is a handy backup if it doesn't.

I've got the 1 and it's OK on my motorcycle tyres but doesn't hold charge that well anymore.

    • +1

do you have anyway of telling if this is due to parasitic power loss(poor design) or bad battery?

    • -2

same, got one, charged it up, tested it. It was completely dead/bricked within like 3 months before i could actually use it for the first time.

    • +1

Yeah everyone had issues with 1. It seems they improved it with the 1S and onwards.

  • +1

Was kicking myself I didn't buy this last time then out of the blue while I was pumping an air mattress, a lad from next door offered me his to use.

    • +2

This won’t help with pumping an air mattress, you’ll need a pump with high air flow.

  • does the price in OP include taxes?

    • +1
      • Thanks @Clear - I got total $41.06 because the taxes is $4.28 + $37.52 -$0.74(use coins).

when I applied the codes you provided - nothing happened.

        • The USD price never fluctuates.

      • Reminding you to include tax is like a tradition at this point…

        • It's not like the deal says it or anything :/

And I'm thinking people aren't taught what ~ means in a price anymore. One day I'll put some simple steps in all my deals.

          • @Clear: That day is today apparently 👍

            • +2

@anonym: People still won't read that far down. Getting them to even read the full title is a struggle.

              • +1

@Clear: Sounds like the same people that respond to my marketplace ads…

  • pumped a full tyre from 9psi to 32 + leftover charge to spare with the V1, gonna grab V2 as well

  • +1

Unlike the Reolink camera, this one is cheaper than last year. Grab one for emergency use on the trip. The OzB way is pumping for free at a nearby petrol station always ;)

    • Tyres are hot unless you live next to one. Pressure more accurate when cold..

      • Good to note that. Within a few min drive and under 1 psi inaccuracy I say is ok. For further distance and a hot day, maybe it's good to set 1 psi extra? Or get a coffee and let it cool down first. An ev should be ok as it needs time for charging.

  • Have a blast!

  • +2

Suitable for a blow up d0ll?

    • +8

      Not at all.

They don’t have the finger strength needed to use this thing

    • +3

      No. I exploded i̶n̶ mine.

  • Thank you OP. First time using your 'How to get the AU$ price in the title.' method. Bought a couple of things from ali and never done this method. Hopefully works well. Checked out using my ING card in paypal which should refund me the international transaction fee. Thanks!

  • -2

When I enter the code for the 2, I get the error: "For security reasons your request can't currently be processed".
Any tips to get around this?

  • +2

I just got the Pump 2 for AU$33.24 including tax by changing the site to Australia, applying the codes, and paying with PayPal in AUD.

    • Paying with international transacction free card with US$, i got US$23.70 for pump2. Thanks op

    • I can’t get this below $40AUD using this method.
The codes say they’re already applied and only saving $2

      • It's one or the other, not both.

  • Would this take a while? Say if I normally have tyres at 34 PSI and it had dropped to 29, how long would it take to get one tyre to go back up to 34 with this?

    • +1

According to a YouTube video, to pump 0.1 bar in a car tyre took 24 seconds.

      • +4

So by my calculations, it would take just under 1.5 minutes to inflate a tyre by 5psi. Much slower than at a servo, but totally liveable.

        • Thanks mate, yeah save time by not going to a servo. I wonder if Gooloo is any faster with theirs

    • +2

It totally doesn't matter how long it takes. You set the target pressure, attach the pump, and press the button. All in the comfort of your own garage. Ignore it until it stops.

Versus drive ten minutes to a smelly service station and piss about with their grimy gear which is probably never calibrated, used by hundreds of others, and based on a spring mechanism probably years old, then drive home again.

I've tried my tyres. Seems to take a minute or so to get to target pressures.

  • The AE2ZNAF coupon is no longer working. Giving an error saying “This code is no longer active”

    Got it for $36.69 AUD

    Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP.

  • +1

Lowest I can get now is showing 43$. :(

  • +1

I was able to drop the price further by using a link to the item from the coins offers page from the account page. (If you view the item it'll likely show up as one of the top hits when you get there)

Final price $31.95 including tax for the Pump 2. Used the ZNAF code and coins to drop the price.

    • +1

Yeah most listings will have 2% off with coins. I don't bother including it in the title (only under coupon) as there's not enough room and getting people to understand exchange rates is hard enough.

      • Lucky me, it came up with something around 10% off (I think it was 14, don't know how to check again) with coins.

But had to look from the coins special page, not direct to the listing.

  • I went to the AliExpress site and it stated the price was AU$22.07 + free shipping but did say,
"The product we link to sell is the Chinese version of the Xiaomi (Mijia) air pump. The product’s logo is Mijia."

    • +2

Nothing wrong with that description. Xiaomi use the "Mijia" branding with logo on their products. Scammers would be trying to dispute it by saying "It doesn't say Xiaomi anywhere must be fake" when that's not the case.

  • Which would be suitable for a basketball?

    • +1

Either would be fine for a basketball.

  • Got the Pump 2 for 20.75usd, thanks!

  • Best I got was $38.77. Thanks OP

  • Pump 2 OOS

    • +1

Still showing stock here. Potentially one per customer if you bought one already.

  • One or some discounts from your original order have expired. Your total has been recalculated. Tap below to continue payment.

    • Created a new account and get the same error
Good deal, but unobtainable for me(and a few others by the looks of it).

      • Is the deal over now, or just lucky for some to obtain final price?

      • +1

Shitty reason to neg the deal. How many accounts do you have now? I hope it's not more than 2 and how many did you add to your cart? It's one per account.

  • The One S is a good handy little portable pump, especially for scooters and bikes.

Even topped up a few car tyres, takes a while but can handle it. Probably best to only use for two

minutes continuesly and resting for a few before re-using to let it cool down on hot days.

  • Not quite sure how I got it but as a non-new Aliexpress user it came up at $30.71 for the 2 version with automatic coupons.

    • My bad, version 1. Aliexpress dodgy item labeling tricks me again.

  • Comes up a flat total of AU $33.71 even without having to go through the currency updating and code applyin hassle

edit : My bad that was for the 1s and not version 2.

  • Mine came to $32 AUD total for version 2

    • Might want to double check.
I chose 2 and after paying it said 1S

  • How long to inflate from 0 to 40 psi?

    • What size tyre

  • Would this be good to use as a PC parts cleaner? Might need to use a toothbrush to remove sticky dust.

    • No it doesn't provide a constant flower of air like a blower does.

      • Even in short bursts. It should be half-decent compared to blowing on it myself when attaching the ball pump.

        • No, it will be next to useless.
