When my colleague asks me how's my weekend?
I will tell them I bought a wrench from Amazon

    • +2

      my go to is
"I did housework and searched orb"
then they go silent or say its sad and I should go out hahaha

Be more creative: "I don't want it to tell stories, but let's just say it involved jaws that could only open one inch."

    • Otherwise tell them you bought an Adjustable Wench from the Big Smile Sale

      I'd suggest not.
Amazon Basics are often knockoffs of another's product, made to the lowest standard.
I've purchased a couple of such items in the past and likely won't again.
For example, a set of prybars which were barely finished (edges almsot square rather than chamfered).

I have a set of 4 Amazon basics pry bars and they have edges like I would expect. Maybe you got a bad batch

Cr-v a bit stronger than carbon steel… Double price… Not sure… But if you are using it a fair bit.. Maybe extra$5 worth it…
Also it might be less inclined to round your nuts… Which is definitely a pain

We are United States of Australia after all

        • As opposed to Englandisms

          • @chiprillis: Languages are constantly changing for many reasons. Adopting American words when perfectly good Australian terms exist is usually a combination of blind ignorance and laziness.
