  Just want to say, I followed your recommendation and got the BCX4500 brushcutter along with the line trimmer head attachment and am very happy with it. Plenty of oomph, and the batter wasn’t even half depleted by the end. A 5.0Ah should be plenty to get most jobs done.

    I really still haven't used our, the misses has done most of the cutting with it.
    One tip I have, use a fat zip tie, and anchor the cable coming out from the controller into the body, and tie it to the handlebar so it doesn't just hang put wide waiting to catch on something.

  That LMX5307SP-2 mower looks amazing, but there is a model between the regular and this version in USA that's quite a step down in price, single battery but still has the same high spin speed, so basically the same mower in a non-commercial package. As usual we get left out by Ego.

    300+ million odd less people here, it's not uncommon to have smaller range in a smaller market. I have to do that all the time with most of the brands I import.

      Well yes that is true.

      Do you know if there is the option of the 2 blades on that mower? From the pics I can see its only running one and wondered if a highlift + mulch blade setup is possible as it is on the non-commercial models. I could understand why they might have dropped it but it would be a shame as I'll probably eventually upgrade my Honda commercial to something like this but from what I understand with Ego, you really want both blades for the best result.

  My throat feels scratchy for 24 hours after using my petrol lawnmower and whipper snipper. I'm considering turning to Electric.

  My consideration is EGO STX4500 for a line trimmer and the LMX5307SP. By buying both I'd have 2 x 5Ah batteries to use for the trimmer.

  Not sure if I want the kit with the lawn mower as having 2 x Charger, 2 x 12A seems overkill.

    You can buy a shite mower on Market place for $10-30 or find some rubbish, and use that.

    As for two Turbo chargers, we have three Rapid chargers in use for when we might just be using one of our brush cutters/line trimmers with 7.5Ah & 5Ah batteries. We will be using them for hours, so your use could be far different. But having more than one charger is beneficial. Frequently we will have 3 or 4 EGO tools in use, Brush Cutters, mower and blower.

    Kits are always the way to go, you can sell anything you find superfluous and make out better off.
    Although in this case, that is a hell of a price difference. All depends on how much mowing you will be doing to make use of two 12Ah. And that size will also have the lowest demand to on sell.
