Ozito PXC 18V Brushless Jet Blower with Gutter Cleaning Set 4.0Ah Kit $169 Delivered / C&C / in-Store @ Bunnings

160

Another run of this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/838986 promo deal from last year, and at the same price.

Jet blower kit without the gutter attachments is $199. It was $159 briefly at intro, but has been $199 since late 2023.

Fair amount of stock around with not too many stores nil stock. https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0563998

I have this blower from the kit without the gutter attachments and rate it. It's near as good as the Makita 18V jet blower I had prior to it, having only slightly lower spec.

Max. Air Speed: 200km/h
Max. Air Volume: 670m3/hour (394 CFM)

Only small downside is it is quite loud on on the higher speed settings.

I've got this and personally find the smaller one that was in the kit more useful. This one is more powerful but still nothing like my stihl petrol blower and it's really loud. The gutter attachment is pretty meh.

    • How's it work, didn't see anything about suction on the page, does it just blow all the stuff in the gutter everywhere?

      • +1

Yes the extensions just blow out the gutters only. I have the kit without the gutter attachments so can't comment to their effectiveness though.

Exactly that. So you end up covered in shit. It does a solid job if the gutters and leaves are dry. Give it a 5/10.

    • What kit did you mean? Was it the smaller blower that is selling for $89?

      • I think it was with the hedge trimmer and a battery. It's the smaller one but really good and yeah about that price on an ozb sale about 5 years ago.

    Thanks OP, bought one :-)

The free delivery for tools over $99 lets you add other stuff and still be free, pretty good dont know if its intended.

I bought one on the last deal and used it yesterday on my fascia gutters. I found it next to useless on anything except freshly fallen leaves. I ended up on the ladder cleaning the gutters as usual, using my hands and a small, less powerful Ozito workshop vac.

Shopvac with a large diameter hose is the way

      • Any particular hose you can recommend?

        • Ozito and Ryobi Wet Dry vac deals are often posted on here for around $100 or less. I'd get one with a capacity of at least 20L

          • @Kelpei: I’ve got the ozito vac.
It was the hose I was curious about

@jgeddy: Sorry didn't read it properly. I have an older Stanley vac with a 60mm hose and it sucks up large leaves easily. I do find the large vacs (40L+ capacity) do tend to come with larger hoses

  • I got the cheaper Ozito blower that does a decent job of blowing out the stuff from the gutters. Actually just did this last week. The worse thing is the clean up afterwards

  • Isn't it too expensive for only 18 volts?

Fair question. Not really, similar spec 18V blowers from the pro brands like Makita, Dewalt etc start from around the the $280 mark and, that's tool only.

Sure, it's not going to be quite as good but it does the job and has a 5yr warranty. I wouldn't be buying it for the gutter accessories myself though, more for the blower, charger and battery itself. For blowing off a driveway, path, patio etc it has more than enough power.

The 36v is cheaper but no battery.

      • I received 2 Makita 40V blower via redemption.
So strong that I my hand blows backwards.
However, the gutter accessories for that is like $90 bucks

  • I've had this kit for about a year, thankfully picked it up for $89 on clearance. The blower is powerful, easily clears hard surfaces and still does a decent job moving debris on grass. Even better with a 5.2Ah battery.

The gutter attachment is utterly useless, doesn't move anything out of the gutters. Tried using a portion of the gutter extension tubing for a longer reach to clear debris from under and around hard to reach solar panels, useless. It's still effective without the extra tubing for that job.

As others have mentioned, the split tube blower is most effective for cleaning gutters, the narrower shape of the nozzle is perfect. Sure you still need a ladder but it's quick and saves cutting up your hands trying to get at any debris.
