The link goes to ryzen 5 model. Also the screen is oled 2.5k. check the spec on ASUS website before buying. Also during black friday the offer was 1190aud for ryzen 7 model with 2.8k oled screen

Thanks, title fixed for Ryzen 5

ASUS website is wrong - lists "2.5K" at the top but "14.0-inch, 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED…" in the full specs below

All reviews and other store listings confirm it is 2880x1800:

      PCMag
      JB Hi-Fi
      Costco

Hmmmm..strange. I called them when this model was on sale last time in Bing Lee and they confirmed that they are selling 2.5k version. Difficult to say how big is the difference to 2.8k model. And i think that they are selling last items with Zen 3 CPU since there are already a number of models with Zen4 and DDR5

Great price if the price is actually for the Ryzen 7. I saw a guy in front of me buy the R7 model just yesterday at OW for $1.6k+ lol.

    For this model:
    World-leading 14” 2.5K NanoEdge display
    16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 90% screen-to-body ratio, 100% sRGB colour gamut and 400 nits peak brightness.
So slightly worse than 2.8k oled with 500 or 600 nits. If it would be r7 model with 2.8k, it would be a great price. Still not bad, but probably worth wait for eofy sale on Zen4 OLED models

  • Asus and Samsung laptops don’t seem to be reliable in my anecdotal experience

    • My last 3 Asus laptops (2 of which are zenbooks) are all still running and the only thing to ever go wrong has been the SSD which is easily replaced. I've travelled overseas very regularly and used them as my coding daily driver for years now. I have yet to find a more reliable brand and the power to weight ratio is hard to match.
