Lenovo R45w-30 44.5" DQHD 165Hz VA Gaming Monitor $997 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ C&C/ in-Store) @ Officeworks

580

I bought this monitor two weeks ago for $997 at Officeworks and it is a productivity king. The built in KVM has reduced my cable clutter. IMO great value. Negatives, colours are a bit soft and speakers are tinny.

          Why not slow gaming..heh heh

This is a common price for the monitor and basically RRP at this point, they turn the price off and on every few days but still a good deal, hoping it can drop a bit further.

  • Whats the original price??

According to Lenovo $1700, JB Hi Fi $1800. Worst thing is you know JB has tricked me some shmucks into buying it at this price.

A very decent price.. I'll resist for now, as my 34" Dell is going well.. And probably will be for a while. But would be great to run word and Excel at 165hz.. Heh heh

  • Would jump on this if i dont already havve the xiaomi 34

If you had four of these you could completely encircle yourself with them.

Would be helpful for those who get motion sickness using VR, and still cheaper than the Apple VR

  • A pity most ultra wide monitor still have their vertical size trimmed - personally, I would choose a full 4K monitor over one with resolutions of 3840x1440 or 3840x1600 any day
Hopefully we will start to see 5K2K OLED monitors - the ultimate ultra-wide displays that preserve the complete 4K resolution while expanding it, rather than merely reducing the vertical size and screen space to create a wide-screen effect.

Does the KVM manage the keyboard and mouse

  • Would this be good for a Next Level Racing / sim racing cockpit set up?

    • Depends - what level are you starting at?

    • Would be perfectly fine for Sim Racing, as long as you have a decent graphics card

  • KVM has one down stream USB-B I connect to my pc, one USB-C powered that I connect to my laptop and 3 x USB-A for my KB, mouse and phone.
