SanDisk Extreme 32GB USB3.0 Flash Drive (CZ80) $29 Pick up (Sydney West)

130

Lowest price ive seen for the sandisk extreme USB 3.0 flash drives

Couldnt pull the trigger on the other USB 3.0 deals (lexar, verbatim, master etc) on here due to slow USB 3.0 speeds or reliability. So have been waiting for the price for these Sandisk extreme usb 3.0 flash drives to come down and came across this one.

The speeds on these are ridiculous compared to the ones mentioned above and come with sandisk lifetime warranty

  • Weight Price

    Up to 200g. 4.95

    Up to 400g. 6.95

    Up to 3kg. 9.95

according to the site the item's weight is 0.5 kg(!!!), does it mean shipping will cost $9.95 ?

    • Yeah, added to my cart and it says $9.95 shipping. Kills the deal for me :(

    • Maybe they will ship with a very good packing. (many card boards)

      • They must be - I've bought one of these and I remember the packaging was feather light - it was easily under 200g in weight.

    • yeah dont know what they do to package it - ruins the deal if you get it posted

Best to either pick it up or perhaps get price matched at officeworks
      https://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Da…

      • ANy got price matched at Officeworks Melbourne w/o considering the shipping ?

  • is that ridiculous fast or ridiculous slow?

  • Can I use this to speed up window 8?

    • If you mean ready boost, then yes. Can also be used as a 'Windows On-The-Go' disk.

      • Bought one yesterday and used it for window 7 readyboost.
Amazingly, it does speed up the system quite a lot.
Now my new PC run as smooth as my iPad2 / Galaxy Nexus finally.

  • Yeah they are intentionally marking its weight up so that it falls in their $9.99 category and then limiting it to 1 per customer so you can't save on the shipping.

Still cheap, but unless you can get to one of the stores, not much cheaper than eslewhere.

  • Doh. Literally just put an order through eBay in for the same drive [ 38AUD] landed, then this deal arrives. … Ah well, has saved me some time venturing out now at least.

CZ80 is a remarkable drive though, no question. I agree, easily worth ten dollars over cheapies (that won't get half way to 100 MB ps write), not to mention read/write speeds beyond those current in most desktops/ hard drives. Might have to lookup a sub-$20 USB3 PCI-E card though, otherwise it'll be a fine dongle for my later spec'd laptop.

+Hopefully 'CZ80' doesn't become a defective unit over time (excess heat up from sustained 100MBps..?), although reports suggesting bad batch concern namely for the 64Gb size. Agreed with http://www.everythingusb.com/sandisk-extreme-usb-3.0-flash-d… that accurately describes why these Sandisks prove an exceptional buy. ( but especially where they are offered ~$30/ $1pGB).

  • free shipping vouchers anyone found?

  • Yeah I got the 64gb version from MemoryCity during one of their sales. Paid $75 shipped a few months ago, but the speeds are simply awesome. I'm using a cheapo Dick Smith USB3 controller (~$20) and it pulls about 100mb/s read/writes under normal Windows operations. Looks like the drive is capable of more if I get a decent USB3 motherboard.

More often than not it's limited by the source media such as my network share drive.

It's also faster than any of my USB3 portable hard drives (HP/WD).

  • Just in case anyone is wanting this deal but can't get down there to pick it up, $29.95 delivered from Memory City.
$74.95 delivered for the 64gb one too.

  • Made the trek over to the Bankstown store today. Was gonna get the 32G but out of curiosity, asked abt the 64G and BOOM - $60. Best price by far that I've seen lately. Wasnt many on the shelf left so if you want one, best be quick. Hope I made someone's day!

    • damn thats a good price for the 64gb
