Steps:

Automate bill payments with Direct Debit
Set and forget with automated payments.

1- Log in or register with My Account
2- Within the ‘Billing’ tab, click ‘all payment options’
3- Within 'Payment Options', select ‘Edit’ under 'Direct Debit' and follow the prompts

*To qualify for the credit, you must be a residential AGL energy customer and meet these eligibility requirements:

Auto pay (Direct Debit) sign up: if you haven′t set up Direct Debit for payments of your AGL bills at the time of this email, you′re eligible for a $20 credit by signing up for Direct Debit within 2 weeks (14 calendar days) of the date of this email.

You will see the credit on your next bill or the one after. The credit is once-off, inclusive of GST, and will be applied to your energy account by 30 June 2024. If you have both electricity and gas accounts with AGL, the credit will be applied to your electricity account. The credit amount reduce the price of the supply of electricity or gas and is not transferable or refundable. Only one credit per customer

  Used to be 20% off each bill for direct debit with them. Left when they removed that discount last year. It was a pretty decent discount for the 5 or so years i was with them.

  Good offer, I'm often reluctant to set up direct debit for my energy, but I'll do it this one time to get the $20 credit. Then remove the direct debit option from my account.
  Does anyone know how long have to keep direct debit setup for before I can remove it?
