  • How do i calculate how long it an run a 240v appliance for?

e.g. if it is 800w appliance

    Thanks.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but this model states 2000Wh, so basically 2,000w over an hour not considering temperature variations etc.
So in theory it should be able to run something for 2.25-2.75hrs at 800w.

All honestly, just go with a petrol unit depending on your requirements. The kings inverter is cheap and reliable, you can run it close to full capacity for hours and when it finally runs out of fuel after a 5 minute stop to refuel your back up and running

    • DC to 240V requires inversion so need to consider power losses. Being a decent inverter use an efficiency of inverter of >85%.
Operation time (estimated) = Battery capacity (Wh) × Depth of Discharge (100%) × n ÷ (load power)
      So, 2000 x100% x85% x800. Or 2.125 hours or 2hr and 8min ish

      • Ah thanks guy! 2 hour seems very short? Almost better spending 2k on a generator right?

    • 2000/800,=

      • x 0.85

        • I didn't want to over complicate the maths for him

  • Any deals on the B80, rep?

  • +1

For perspective this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/839717 plus an inverter, charger and battery box is so much cheaper and would give 2400wh before inverter losses

    • Can you recommend a battery box?

      • I don't have one of these batteries yet, but when I get one, I am thinking about building my own from marine ply. I like the idea of getting good versions of every component.

  • Rep, you need to update some of your photos on the website as thry do not match the product you are trying to sell

  • Weight: 27.35 KG

    Yeah, highly portable

  • Can we add a home wind generator at home and keep charging this device for free?
