Yeah it depends on use, instructions will make it last but if you need to overpower a strong smell open that sucker up. Woolies sell these in singles, cheap enough but not as cheap as this deal

I guess that makes sense but who the hell wants a piece of wrapping paper garbage hanging from their rear-view mirror for days or weeks on end when you can get any number of more discrete vent-mounted air fresheners?
I personally hang it off my windscreen wiper stick and that way it's not showing. These last me up to a month if I slowly expose it once a week.
Open it slightly and stick it under the seat.
Out of sight and still gets airflow from the vents

@jv: I agree with you, but air fresher is least of our issue here when our car's interior is self poisoning its occupants. There are numerous studies and research on VOC's emitted by car interior and Vehicle Interior Air Quality (VIAQ) is hardly imposed by any governing body. As an example: The Self-Poisoning Car

Note the "in high doses." Most of the time these things are studied in amounts that thousands of times greater than anything they're actually used for would ever expose a human to. Too much of a lot of things can harm you, including things we need to live, like water. Many of the vitamins and minerals we need as part of a healthy diet would harm you in even moderately large amounts, too. "This thing can harm you if you're exposed to MASSIVE quantities" just doesn't tell us very much.
Be warned, people online say black ice smells good. It's like having a teenager drenched in Lynx in your car.
