    Should work with 0% categories.

    Can you buy gift cards?

    • You can buy but this offer excludes gift card purchase.

      • The t&c is literally empty tho. Where do you see that?

St George not tracking for a lot of people check comments last Pizza Hut deal

    • the St George bonus has been working for me, on eBay, and even last night when I ordered Pizza Hut.

    • Yesterday’s Pizza Hut tracked. Took 20 hrs for tracking but got both Westpac and St George.

  • I left St George for Westpac for rewards now they're doing this, St George is a headache to deal with anyway

    • Not as bad as Bank of Melbourne.

Can I do a chargeback after I buy?

  • Hopefully works with the 0% categories… bought a Micro SD card from the other deal.

Ok terms and conditions are blank so had to ask: item from Amazon won’t be delivered until Friday which means it’ll be charged around Thursday. Does that mean I won’t get the 10%?

Confirming if you can or can’t pay with a Gift Card?

    • +1

General rule for cashback is need to pay with cash

    • +2

Shopback allows use of gift cards with eBay/amazon. Some other stores do frequently approve it also

      It's a St George deal..

      • through shopback????

      Thanks for info, guys!

Read through cashback exclusions and it says the below. So better pay via cash.

“This offer is not valid together with:
Any Gift Card, Voucher or store credit redemption”

@gotyourback can you please clarify about the use of gift cards for st. george cashbacks. i have made a few purchases and already had a few track. also please confirm if 0% categories will also track like westpac

        thanks

        • Thanks @Repstar.

@gotyourback if you could please clarify gift card usage with this deal before it ends, that would be great 🙂

          • @SKT: Before, you only need to charge part of the transaction with the St George/Westpac to get the full cashback. No reason to see why it’s changed.

E.g. if you have $20 in GC balance and your item is $20.01, that 1c charge on the card will get you the full $2 cashback.

        • Hey there! Here's a breakdown of ShopBack Cashback eligibility:

          • Gift Cards: You can earn Cashback on purchases made with an Amazon Gift Card purchased through ShopBack! But using any other gift card, promo code, or discount not advertised or sold by ShopBack won't qualify for Cashback.

          • 0% Categories: Heads up, purchases in 0% Cashback categories won't earn you standard Cashback or partnership bonuses.

          • Bonus Cashback: To snag bonus Cashback, you gotta meet all the criteria set by both ShopBack and the merchant. Make sure you read the fine print! (These are usually in the ShopBack and merchant Terms and Conditions.)

Feel free to drop us a DM if you have any questions!

          • @gotyourback: @gotyourback

So confirming, the 0% cashback categories will decline on amazon if using st. george?

I only ask because, in relation to Westpac you said:

"Hey mate, I've checked in on this, this has actually been updated by our Westpac team so that Cashback for 0% Categories on eBay and Amazon will track and be paid out! Some users will remember me saying previously that this is something we were working on changing and can confirm that after some testing we can pay out Cashback on 0% categories for eBay and Amazon!

Note that this is specific to eBay and Amazon as they will track 0% categories whereas other merchants will not track them, and that if the original tracking is rejected the Bonus will be rejected as well. If you have trouble with this, let me know as this is still pretty new so I'd like to keep eyes on it."

I have made a few purchaces on Amazon 0% Toys category, and the bonus st. george has tracked. will this eventually be declined?

            • @Repstar: This is getting confusing between Westpac and St George 🤔

            • -1

              @Repstar: Hey There!

Quick explanation about Cashback and bank bonuses:

Cashback Eligibility Matters: The Bank Partnership bonus you get depends on whether the purchase earns Cashback in the first place. If the category you're shopping in is eligible for Cashback, then it'll also be eligible for any bank partnership bonus we offer.

0% Cashback Categories = No Bonuses: Just a heads up, purchases in categories that don't earn Cashback (like 0% Cashback categories) won't qualify for either standard Cashback or any bank partnership bonuses.

Basically, Cashback eligibility is the key!

St.George is very particular. They have confirmed my ID online for opening an everday account more than 2 weeks ago but my debit card still hasn't arrived. When I rang them, they said I had to collect the card in their branch. I live in a rural town where the closest branch is >1 hour away so I can't. I was put on hold for >20 minutes. Then they told me they will post me documents to sign and I will have to post it back to them so I will finally receive my debit card in 10 days. I have never gone through so much hassles like this before with Westpac, BOQ, ING, Macquarie, HSBC, Bankwest, ANZ…

    • That's annoying.

I had similar but worse with Bank First. After online ID verification to open a transaction account, I had to get documents certified and the list of eligible certifiers was a narrow financial set, not the usual set that has a huge number of eligible categories/occupations.

    • I had mine waiting on ID for nearly two weeks - was wondering why my card wasn't showing up!

Can confirm I also had to pick up my card from the branch. Lucky there's still one open in my suburb. Stupid rule…

  • Placed an order. Did anyone have their tracked?

    • Both of mine did not.

      • Mine did not so far. It took several days for the Pizza Hut St George bonuses to track, so I'm not expecting it today.

        • +1

Amazon purchase tracked when the order was dispatched. The purchase was from a 0% category, so I can confirm bank bonuses work with them as well.

          • @Miroslav: Mine tracked also, but I have this dirty feeling Amazon will change from "calculating" to $0, and so the bonus cashback will be rejected.

            • @Repstar: Nothing from Shopback would surprise me. Unfortunately, they seem to have all the best deals at the moment.
