I have this. Works well. Just no pressure sensitive drawing.

    • +1

There are no non-Apple branded stylus that comes with pressure sensitivity.

This is the first stylus that I’ve seen that comes with a side button. Hopefully the manufacturers reverse engineer pressure sensitivity

        • +1

The picture says the side button is a quick shortcut for undo and rubber

Apparently this is the OzB alternative.

    Who decided that?

This pen is $19.99 with 14800+ reviews

Does this one have a multi function button?

      • Yes. Click to undo, double click to erase, triple click to take a photo.

        • +1

No, the one posted above doesn’t. Your original post does.

    • Check in the comments of previous Apple Pencil deals

      Who decided that?

      Me. I have spoken.

  • Can this work with other touchscreens? Got a school laptop with broken stylus, not an ipad, will it work with it. Is it correct to assume, if I can draw with my finger, I can draw with this pencil?

    • +2

You'd be looking instead for a "capacitive stylus" for something that has universal touch screen compatability. They're the ones with the soft round rubber nibs.

      • Thanks a lot @maxdestructo574.

        • +1

You don't need one with the soft round rubber nibs, that's just if you don't want to have to charge it.
There are lots of styluses that can work on any touchscreen, they just require charging (so does the Apple Pencil)

Search 'active stylus' or 'touchscreen stylus'

          • @MrMcHairyHead: That's interesting, thanks. I didn’t know about this kind of product and now I'm interested to see how one would go on my galaxy tab.

            • @maxdestructo574: I've used several and they work great. My issues have been with quality and annoying charging methods (i.e. not USB-C), but they function fine.

I have the one I linked above, it works fine but the white exterior peeled off.

I also had an Adonit until I lost it, which was lovely.

Thanks Op, bought yours over other ones as it has a multi function button

$10 off deal is gone now :(

    • Back on for me.

  • It’s a good pen if you only need writing like take notes etc. The company also has a app for A11, but the app is totally useless, as it even can’t connect with the pen.

  • So the $19.99 is after applying the discount or before?

  • Can get $8 ones from AliExpress. Could get a case as well for this price. https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005574498326.html?spm=a2g…

Has worked with no issues with "kid" use for three months so far.

  • on a related note - If anyone has a great alternative to the Magic keyboard case I'd be interested in their recommendation?
Love the borderless magnetic fixation and ability to support itself + functionality of keyboard and trackpad - $00-$500 price point less so

    • +1

They have then for $80 on Aliexpress, the main difference is that they are bluetooth so you have to charge them by USBC and they don't connect instantly like the Apple Smart Connector keyboards.

      Just search "Magic Keyboard iPad"

    • I bought the ESR one for my 11" iPad pro a few months ago and have been enjoying it.

    • I’ve tried the Logitech Combo Touch with my iPad Pro 12.9. I’ve experienced the same problems as others with the case warping away from the edge of the iPad. But it still works and is still cheaper than apple.

  • How can this be compatible with iPad Amateur 6-10 and yet not be compatible with iPad Pro 9.7 and 10.5?

    • The Pro uses The Gen2 Pencils - Apple really screwed up when they did all their Apple Pencil compatability stuff :|

      • That's what I mean, the iPads Pro that I mentioned use the Gen1 Apple Pencil.
