  • Anyone have any thoughts on this camera? Looking for something cheap to keep an eye on puppy

Got imou cameras. Not this model. What seems good with these are smart tracking. App works fairly quick., within 2 seconds. Able to RTSP them into home bridge (but quite slow that way, probably my settings). Good quality. I think this would be suitable to look at puppy.
Sensors quite good for movements. Sd card in mine but able to record on qnap or similar as well.

I think I have this model (or a very very similar one) for use indoor downstairs. It's connected to my Dahua DVR which has outdoor cameras connected to it. It works great so far just purely as a CCTV camera for monitoring things downstairs - just has a small 'imou' watermark on the output display, but other than that.. it's very clear.

My Imou cameras have been fine for the ~$30 I paid. App works ok, cameras also work well in AgentDVR.

Baby monitors are generally a waste of money.

    • If you can't hear a baby crying from another part of the house something is wrong with your hearing.
    • Cameras encourage helicopter parenting behaviours. Babies can sleep quietly or they can move about a lot.

Probably better for pets in the house. Having said all that $34 for a networked in-home camera with P&T is a good deal.

      Disagree with that sentiment.

A baby monitor has been really helpful when you need to do chores on the other side of the house / cooking with exhaust.

Also, its very good to check in on kids without approaching them if you are sleep training. Making sure their airway is fine. Babies also would have a short cry randomly between their sleep cycle (5s-20s for my kids) and it's reassuring to make sure they are not in danger.

$50 or so baby monitors are worth it

  • anybody whos able to add this in BlueIris? Cheers
