I never enjoy paying premium prices. Perhaps you meant "Clearance prices on our premium models"?

    • +3

edited & lol, i enjoyed the first few comments on our current & past posts the most :)

  • +4

I like your shipping costs - much more reasonable than some other places.

    • True that.
I just wish for more selection of components for those who'd like to build their own PCs.
      ShoppingExpress, you getting this?

      • +1

hehe, will always consider all inputs and see what we can achieve first. We cannot do everything at 1 go :).

  • +3

I like your customer service ! Keep up the good work SE !

  • Yeah good customer service from SE
Although sometimes I get confused with Shopping Express and Shopping Square (SS Customer Service - enough said…)

  • arghhh… stop tempting me to spend money!! my wife's going to kill me if i spend again… :((

    • +3

C'mon demere - be a man and get killed :P

      • +11

Yeah, getting killed is nothin'…if he's like me he'll just re-spawn in the doghouse anyway!

  • Any deal on the 256gb Samsung 830?

    • +1

Cannot go lower than current price of $195

      • Free shipping possible? :)

        • +5

You shouldn't be asking the one asking for free shipping - MustResistPurchase ?

        • -2

Wow that reply sentence made me think for abit and i still dont understand.

  • +1

The laptop is not as good as this deal:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/83583

unless you want a Toshiba over a Samsung. Can't comment on the build quality of each, but for $500 the Samsung is OK with a newer processor as well.

    • +2

Specs wise, it may look slightly lower, but you get Toshiba Branded laptop. Moreover, Performance difference will not be HUGE. More to do with which laptop you like for the same amount of money. Plus - that was a clearance special that's limited to some JB HiFi locations. We are doing Australia Wide.

    • I bought that Samsung. The build quality is not really good. It still runs fine though, but I wouldn't recommend it. Anyway, I never own a Toshiba so can't compare :)

      • I own toshiba laptops. They last for long time.

        • Toshiba is good, we used to have them as our laptop provider for work for quite some time (now using HP)

  • Hi Rep, what is the difference between OEM and kit? Thank you.

    • Kit comes with the following extras:

2.5" to 3.5" SSD adapter with screws
      SATA III cable
      SATA power cable

      • Thank you for the quick response. I have one more question. Does the OEM come with the black plastic piece cover?

        • It comes packaged in a brown box. Is that what you are referring?

        • He's talking about the black plastic spacer to increase drive thickness

        • have not seen an opened before, but it should only have SSD inside the package. Others that bought this before might able to assist?

  • Hi Rep,

Any other i3 model laptop on clearance ? Will you giving a tax invoice ?

    Thanks and regards,
    Deepinder Singh

    • No i3 models on clearance. We provide Tax invoice. It will also be readily printable anytime you want - under your user account.

  • Good price, I came up with total of only $504 including shipping to Sydney. Descent spec laptop for that price.

  • Bought the 120GB intel 520 for my work PC. Got sick of waiting for it to go sub 100.

  • The Samsung 512GB SSD is $365 delivered not $395…

    Well it was.

ShoppingExpress I purchased the drive at $365 delivered but have been charged $395…

  • eek, so tempting.

  • When i put in my cart price comes up at $599 plus postage not $499 ????

    • You haven't applied the coupon mate!

  • For an extra $200, this one might be slightly better value?
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81309
    or
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84241

    • ya but $200 extra is not minimal.

    • Not comparing and commenting if that was a better deal than ours, but speaking as general perspective:
The Price point and what you can get - is probably what our deal's about at the moment. It can go on and on comparing different deals to see which is the best deal, but at the end of the day, we look for great bargains within or slightly stretching our budget?

  • Thanks..i had not applied the coupon.

  • Very good price on the 240gb intel. But pls don't claim RRP $619.95 as going rates are under $300….

To me just yells scam and dosnt do u any good. Ppl looking to buy this specific drive know how good they are and their true price ……

    • +1

rule 1 of ozb: you DO NOT talk about the RRP

  • $5.00 shipping with this link.http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/shop/5-postage-cap-deals/5-postage-cap-deals

  • +1

Sorry if my question is slightly off tangent. I want to replace my laptops HDD with SSD. Are all SSDs suited for laptops or are there specific sizes I require?

Also, do I need to purchase additional enclosures/cables etc?

    • +1

I'd like to know that as well if someone can spoonfeed us, that'd be just…dandy :D

Seeing that some SSDs come in 9mm and 7mm thickness and can maybe be installed in those extra smartcard-extracard-bbqcard or what have you slots - what if you wanted to have both the original hdd for storage and install the SSD in one of those additional slots, format it all, though would it reach sata3 and be bootable?

  • Hi Rep (or anyone who knows), does this have 1x 4gb ram stick, or 2x 2gb sticks?

  • +1

Acer S3 deal like last time please =)

  • Just bought the 512GB SSD - thanks!

  • Nice price on the lappy. Video specs are too low for me unfortunately.. if this had the HD 7970 id be all over it :-P

    • laptop with a 7970m for <600 bucks? stop being a clown and wake up to yourself.

  • Does this support World Wide shipping?

  • Looks great but the cent review says the battery life on this model is really bad. Holding out for a good new laptop.

    Furchased! Thank you Mr.Grace

    • +1

My pussy said to upvote you for the Are You Being Served reference! :)

      • Much obliged, and I am unanimous in that!

  • Is the warranty on the laptop worldwide, or only in Australia?

  • This Toshiba certainly has a very attractive price. Anyone knows if this particular model has any keyboard flex? Is the keyboard good? Particularly if the space bar key will register the keystroke whether it is pressed in the centre or at the corner? Thanks.
