LISEN 3-in-1 for Apple Device $29.99

    Anyone hear LISEN ???

  • Aldi has one for similar price. Looked better in person

7.5w is pretty useless…plus the heat.

      • +2

For 15W charging, it needs to be Made for Magsafe certified, which i do not see anywhere listed on the page, so it will only charge at 7.5W

        • +1

Lisen has over 100 products listed in Apple's MFI database so it's entirely possible it is certified. I'd need to find the model number and check.

          • @Clear: Confirm it is only 7.5w charging.

        • In the video on the page it says 15W charging.

          • +1

@MrFunSocks: Yeah. Basically they need an MFi chip for it to work and considering Lisen already have ~125 products MFi certified it's possible that's the case. Especially since the Apple MFi list isn't updated consistently.

Yeah this thing is hot. Phone keeps stopping charging due to over heating on it… would take all day to charge with the stopping.

      • Do you have it plugged into a 2A charger?

      • +1

I got one last deal, doesn't get hot at all

      • +3

I have two from the last post, it doesn't have any issues charging a 15, 15 Pro or AirPods Pro on the MagSafe charger. Wireless charging is always slower and hotter than wired charging as its inefficient by design, if you wanted less heat always go wired.

  • I bought another 3 in 1 charger for $10.7 from this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/841747
actually better than expected… using all 3 wireless charging ports (phone, apple watch, air pod) and all working as expected
didnt generate too much heat on phone charging too

Just seen a video in YouTube, really informative about wireless charging

  • Thanks, Got one

  • Ordered Thanks 🙏

I got one from a previous sale. Charges my phone, watch, and buds at the same time. Does a great job. Folds into a compact form for travel. Overall it’s great.

  • Innovative, which apple couldn't figure out

    • The Apple version was going to let you put your devices down anywhere on the charging pad rather than nestle each device into a specific mount.

      • That will not work with apple watch. Hence it failed. And this is more compact.

  • Ive had this for a couple of months and it hasn’t missed a beat. My only issue with it is that I paid significantly more than this price for it…

  • Bought one from the last deal. Highly recommend. I use it anytime I go away. Haven’t noticed it getting hot like other comments suggest

    'Lisen' al Gaib!?!

  • Thanks OP! Ordered.

  • got one thanks

It makes whrrrring sound when it’s charging, just so you know. I don’t trust it to charge my expensive Apple devices, so I just use it as a stand

    • +3

Mine doesn't. Should have returned yours

    • +2

      Mine doesn't make a sound.

  • Got one, thanks!

  • Got one too. Needed one that can fold up easily for travel as my current one is a rigid standing shape that packs awkwardly

  • Will these charge Apple Watch Ultra?

  • do I need a magsafe case on my iphone 13 to use this?

    • iPhone 13s have magnets in them for MagSafe, so no you don’t.

    • +1

You either need a MagSafe case, or you need to use your iPhone 13 without a case. If you use a non-MagSafe case, then it won't work.

    • Thanks to both of you.

  • I bought one, the magnet is a bit on the weak side, I have a thin transparency case, the magnet is not strong enough to hold and just slipped off, tried the chargers at Apple Store's display area and worked like a charm

Any recommendations for a Samsung equivalent?

So I've been using this for 3 days now.

Addressing a couple of comments above and listing my thoughts:

    • overall build quality seems alright, the only more flimsy part being the watch charger part - it slides from inside the main defice and needs plugging in into the other side of the main device; the packaging and the manual are nicely made, it lots of instructions presented in an aesthetic way; there's even excessive number of tips how to use it, probably because…
    • it takes a bit of practice to use it - you need to make sure the watch is placed correctly in the cradle, and it's easy for it not to align correctly, as the space around it is crammed and the band goes in the way;
    • my iphone mini doesn't fit into the magsafe magnet when it's set up as much upright as possible; to me that means bigger iphones would require even more horizontal position, which is not a biggie, but that leaves less space behind it for the headphones/other devices to charge - weird
    • not sure if the magnet is as strong as in the original magsafe, but feels nice and firm without a phone case and good enough with a non-magsafe case
    • it doesn't heat up much if the devices you put on it are aligned correctly; it does get warmer if they aren't
    • the watch charger is slow af - it takes hours, even if the watch is the only device charging
    • I wanted to test the watch charger straight off a usbc socket on my wall brick (or off a powerbank), without the rest of the magsafe device, but there's a little plastic prong next to the watch charger's supershort usbc plug - that prong prevents the charger from being inserted into another power supply, like I described. I'll saw it off and see how it goes.

Overall not a bad device at $29. Could be more ergonomical/slightly better designed, and I probably wouldn't pay the full price.

    • My bad, only now I noticed the magsafe part extends upwards like in the thumbnail photo.

      my iphone mini doesn't fit into the magsafe magnet when it's set up as much upright as possible;

  • For 30 bucks, cant complain.

I will say though, it does turn on and off sometimes for me. More than sometimes - quite a bit. Even more annoying when my airpods ding every few minutes.
Speeds are fine, watch charger is VERY slow though.
    Build quality is good.

I'll be returning mine though, the power cycling issue is very annoying.

    • Thanks, so it's not just mine charging my watch that slow. I haven't had enough patience to see how long it takes - I'd probably need to leave it overnight.

I haven't noticed my LISEN power cycling out of nowhere. Do you connect yours to a multiport GaN power supply? Those chargers power cycle whenever you connect another device to them.

      • I use a GaN charger as my main - but i tried other bricks and had the same issue.
