        I thought $180 for the Pitbull gold pro was ok, but I can't immediately see value in this for $130 more.

        I wouldn't go back to a razor after the Pitbull. Not as close but way faster.

    The base Pitbull is no where near as expensive, and runs stronger when on USB charger. The pro has a bigger battery, so prob not much difference if you plug it in.

    machine itself there isnt much difference to the pitbull gold. id reccomend getting the gold for cheaper and then buying higher quality blades when it comes time to replace them.

      Agreed. Have the gold which is fantastic and the battery lasts for weeks when I use every other day. The accessories aren't worth the extra cash.

    I normally get haircut with clippers with length set at a "half". Just wondering, from those in the know, if this product can cut at this length or does it just give "zero" length, aka, a bald head shave? Are there shavers that can cut at a half length?
    Also, what is the actual length in millimetres when a hairdressser cuts it at a "half"?
    Really appreciate this info, as after researching this, I have found it really difficult to find answers :-(

      Any head shavers that look like this (rotary-style blades) will only do completely bald.

      But I recommend checking out the Skull Shaver Beast. It is a clipper so doesn't do absolutely bald, but can get pretty close. Plus has 5 length settings so can go a bit longer if desired. It seems to go on special for ~$40 at Shaver Shop a few times a year.

      Easy to do your own head with it as well.

        Yep the Beast is a comfortable clipper that works well. Unless you need to be bald bald, the Bear is excellent for $40.

          Do you mean this one? Because it only cuts to a length of 3mm, whereas I need 1.5mm. Thanks for your input.

            @User411388: Yep that is it. The combs only go to 3mm, but you can do it without a comb.

            It will be quite a bit shorter than 1.5mm however, prob something like 0.2 to 1mm with the length adjustments. Basically stubble for your head.

            IMHO this looks better and is easier to maintain, but YMMV. I started with 3mm and kept going shorter, and now go either the shortest with the Beast or full bald with a rotary.
