Has anyone had any luck with actually using any of these agents? I'm always tempted but then look up reviews and the reviews are always super negative.

Would love to hear some actual stories from people who have used them with no issues.

    Yeah it's weird I used their site and it didn't give me great prices. Then I went through the sale linked and found similar prices.

  I used major of the OTA in the past and still using it now, as long as they still give me good price.
  
  Keep in mind this:
  1. I locked in my travel dates, so not change of dates happens to me, touch wood. If you are not sure about the travel, buy a good support package. They will prioritise you over me (I am not buying, using basic support)
  2. People having a nightmare because they don't read the T&C or did not know the basic rules. (For examples, There are usually 2 fees when changing the dates. One is change fee (admin fee, penalty fee or whatever they call it) and two is different of the fares).
  3. In case of Airlines fault (Cancelled or reschedules), the OTA still notify me and without charging me a single dollar because that was not my fault.
  4. Last but not least, After booking. I received 6 digit PRN and check, monitor my booking myself (Just in case)

    This. Just be sure you know when you’re going, and understand the ‘strict but not actually much different to budget ticket from the airline’ terms.
    
    I’ve used providers like this many times successfully.
    
    I always double check the ticket is real and exists with the airline too.

Darn, I booked one day too early, 220 bucks cheaper if I waited.
Can't cancel without a $500 fee (apparently), because it's over 24 hours :(

I’m in la atm, bit of warning, prices of food etc same or more than aus but in USD … and you need to add taxes and or 20% tip on top of it.

NA fares are fairly reasonable atm across the board, likely due in some part to the ridiculous exchange rate that you'll get hit with when you get there.

Damn need to fly the kids to SFO or LAX for July school holiday… but so $$$. (somewhere 28 June to 14 July - about 10 days in there — please shout if anyone sees a deal for this time PER-SFO or PER - LAX.

Qantas has been outrageous $$$ as I have been doing a lot of AU USA flying. The prices for business class is like 3x to 5x pre covid

Australia to USA is SO much more expensive than ASIA or AFRICA or EUROPE to USA.. No idea why the government refused to give Qatar more slots… we are so rorted

Sitting in the USA most world wide flights have resumed to a more normal pricing… but Oz is just rediculous… how will qantas survive when competition return… they are not even buying new planes but refurbishing old ones… Not a great capex strategy

(And I like flying qantas, but find it very hard to justify, especially to customers when they fund the ticket)
