my Eufy 2c pro only last 3 years. Even though they are marked as IP67 waterproof, water still get into the lens this year and the video quality is unusable now.
Another one who’s had very few issues with Eufy cameras. There was a period where they’d randomly drop off my home wifi and would need a hard reset but that was a couple of years ago and they been rock solid since.
Just tried to check but can’t find my first transaction. Think I’d have bought 2019ish and not had any fail to this point. The doorbell was the worst item I bought. I like the solar versions that I added later and the door sensors have been bulletproof.
I got these to replace my Arlo setup when Arlo decided being greedy was more important then selling products.

I can agree with this. person I researched for bought the battery doorbell more recently.
hardwired and everything so power should not be an issue, but it consistently dropped off or cannot show live view. distance from homebase is less than max distance but problem gets worse and worse over time until around 1 to 1.5 years later, water visible in lens and dead.
fully charged via usb and everything tried to repair to homebase but there is no response from the doorbell. it was bought from amazon who was quick to refund, but user loved everything else about the doorbell so they bought it again. 2nd one is still working, for now.
I have the opposite experience - running on battery, usually last 3-4months one onr charge, always shows on the app reliably
I have the Eufy doorbell smart door lock combo thing. Initially had lots of drop outs so had to create two wifi networks at home split between 2.4 and 5 rather than having the device negotiate the correct one. Once that was resolved, it's been great! Gets used 2-6 times a day and has been excellent compared to my old Ring doorbell/Samsung lock setup.
@eek: I know 2.4 has slower speed but greater range.
issue was not between wifi and homebase though. issue was between homebase and doorbell. homebase shows up just fine settings can be changed, but doorbell keeps dropping off. hopefully it was just faulty which is why it failed.
don’t have them myself but researched for someone and landed on Eufycam (1) the ones with big battery but no solar.
3+ years now no problems only need to take them down to charge once every 4 to 5 months. battery mode used and fine tuning motion area and sensitivity makes a big difference.
one of the new 4 pack bought on sale did have some reception problems. but reconnected and seems to be fine.
also they bought another refurbished B+ stock 4 pack. one of those cameras was a dud, kept dropping out when fully charged and even indoors I think battery issues. probably why it was returned/resold but they did get the set for half price of new on sale.
the dud camera stays indoors plugged into a 5v/2a USB charger and has zero issues when it’s always connected to power.
none of the cameras have water entering lens or port with silicone cover properly closed (which I told them is extremely important). I guess it pays to buy the top model (2c seems to have more issues).
I’m guessing the solar cameras are built even more weather tight and heat resistant I can see them lasting 7-10 years if the standard big Eufycam lasts 4 to 5 years. I’m also thinking these numbers are “minimum” estimate.
also worth mentioning all cams have Eufy official silicone cases on them. not sure if it makes a difference but they were half price during Prime day so I said they are worth it to protect the cameras. 3rd party cases were a few dollars cheaper but thought they might come apart in the sun. all Eufy cases are fine to this day, get a bit dusty but completely fine.
Mine still works fine, some would last longer than the others. All have turned invariably yellow in colour due to sun exposure. Maybe they should have made them black instead.
Mine almost 5 and not showing any issues at all. Hope it will last for another 5 at least.

No you can't!
would not recommend this product. The biggest issues ive had so far:
-Ball and socket joint mount: Camera keeps on dropping down after a couple of days and is not a secure design
-Solar panel layer has started to peel off
-AI technology is not accurate and shows different face detections
-Camera recording does not detect all motion even on max sensitivity
Have this camera (2-pack kit). One camera stopped showing live view just after 2 months and would not update to the latest firmware. It says it's already on the latest version, but clearly it's not. The other cam has a newer firmware. Contacted support and they're a joke. Goes to the usual script of, reboot, delete and re-add cam, make sure it's close to wifi… blah blah blah! Of course I've done that all already!
Just for balance. I’ve got several cameras and literally have had none of these issues (although I don’t try to use Ai face detection to identify people)

Agree with this, the mount is such a bad design indeed. Needs to be tighten so tight to stop it moving that it feels like the plastic will break.
Thankfully you can get replacement mounts, basically anything that will work with the Arlo will work with Eufy.

Haven't had it yet, but hear it was an early device issue. Fingers crossed its fixed now.
Agree with the ball and socket joint. I tightened it so much that the thread got broken… Tried to adjust it on the ideal angle however the camera keeps on falling down.
I've brought an add on camera and seems like the new model has a different film in the solar panel. Hopefully that is fixed on the homebase and camera packs

That is good to hear! Any chance you have a picture of the newer solar panel? We got some about 3 months ago, so hoping they are the newer ones!

Get hard wired cameras, constant streaming drains the battery fast.
You can tell Amazon Alexa to show the feed (for example) and you can live stream on your phone/tablet - but yeah if you're after a 24/7 display these aren't the cameras for you.

They are battery powered and only record on motion. You can 'live stream' the camera, but this kills the battery for long periods.
Not sure why it's marked as expired - code still seems to work.
FYI the Eufy app is awful, I wish I'd stuck with Arlo products.
Reliable products, no major issues. Occasionally needed to hard reset and that is. Can watch live and recorded almost whole days activities
How do you usually go about the Bunnings price match? Just show them the website instore and just take it from there? HAs anyone met any resistance from bunnings?
Since Bunnings updated their price down to $1389 already they initially said they can't match the price anymore, but when I requested the discounted amount, they took a bit of time over the call but they honoured it.
Ahh its at $1389 now. Bunnings matching, so no discount. Serves me right for not getting onto this in the morning.

i've had my issues with this model and currently run 6 cameras around the home, what i will add is that eufy are amongst the best ever with warranty. Whilst my cameras were still under warranty eufy me 2 brand new sealed camera replacements within 3 working days when i sent them a video of the unit malfunctioning. I realize this might seem like a low bar its still worth saying.
Did you have any issues with distance from your router to the cameras? Was the connection good?
anyone tried hikvision or hilook before? how do they compare to Eufy?
They are so expensive! I have been using D-Link cameras for many years, all good and reliable.
Are these worth it? Recently had some neighbors move in a few blocks down. The very sort to decrease property value but increase youth crime.
Anyone had eufy products lasting 4r5 years?have my doubts these would last 7-10years . Double the price for some decent hard wired equipment but maybe worth it for long run
