I gotta try the Jatz one

    • Me too. Didn't notice it before

    • +3

It's ok, billed as sweet and salty but needs more salt

      • +1

dang, I was looking forward to the salt the most

might have to sprinkle some salt flakes on top

        • i tasted the savouriness and was salty enough to me.

reckon some these people palates need a reset from all the overseasoned food

      • Agreed. I thought they were just OK, but the missus liked them more. Not good for slamming though.

      • +1

There's a game you can play that will help with that.

    • Probably my favourite Tim Tams. At first I didn't notice the salty, but it comes a few seconds after you take the first bite

      • my sis said they tasted like originals only..

        im having a bite tomorrow

    • The Jatz ones are great. The saltiness is kind of mild but still quite good.

  • +5

    Oh hell yeah
Love double coat Tim tam slam

  • I literally stocked up this morning from Woolies.

    • 2 for $7 there, so $1 more expensive per pack. Hope you didn't get a whole pallet.

      • @pizzaguy Lol @S2 Woolies allow swap for other items if you want to return, that is provided you didn't buy a whole pallet!

        • +5

12 packs. I will go hand in my OzBargain membership card now.
Funny enough, the lady behind me must've taken 2 packs off me because I was two short and had to go back in and get replacements. The lady working there was kind enough to just let me grab them without any fuss.

          • +1

@S2: Lol almost bought a pallet

    • +2

were they on special? tim tams are one of those things I'll never pay full price for

    • +1

stock more now to lower the avg cost

  • +2

Love nibbling opposite corners then sucking coffee through it.

  • +1

The caramel ones are really good, I think I will have to try the white ones too, they sound really nice.

    • +1

I haven't tried the white ones either because there are less in the packet, without any real chocolate :)

      • Less in the packet? That's ain't right 😤 Do you mean not real chocolate because it's not made from cocoa, or because of some artificial shenanigans? 😅

        • +1

Lol Not made from cocoa as I thought cocoa was expensive.
There are 9 bickies in both white and caramel flavours but white weighs less at 165g. Caramel has 175g.
(Original & dark have 11 bickies)

          • +1

@trixieb: That's a bit dodgy imo, thanks for letting me know. I still think I'll try the white ones as long as they are on a special like they are now. Thanks for posting the deal 👍

          • +1

@trixieb: I had always assumed the Double Coat was the normal qty, just checked and it's 9!

Thought I was just eating them faster.

    • +1

@wonderboy4 Just tried the white ones. It's fine for $2.50 but not as tasty as the other flavours. Probably why the white flavour is not rated as high as the others in reviews.

      • +1

This is good to know, I will only grab one pack, just as a sample, while they're on a special. Thankyou for the follow up, I appreciate this :) 👍

        • @wonderboy4 The white ones didn't last long anyway, all gone in less than 24 hours lol

          • +1

@trixieb: Haha, lotta white choc fans lurking out there 😂

Never, ever, would I pay $5 for a pack of Tim Tams.

    Madness.

    • +3

      This is sparta… oh wait.

  • +9

I miss the $1.82 half price days, Amazon deliveries would hit hard 10x double choc in the mail <3

  • +3

Note that original flavour nets you 11 bickies per pack whereas the flavoured ones are usually 9 biscuits. Same net weight.
YMMV but I prefer the extra two TimTam slam opportunities per pack over slightly more choc or different flavours.

    • +3

I just checked the website. The dark ones also have 11 bickies and probably the only ones to have the same amount as the original flavour. I lost count when I open the packet.

  • +1

I discovered the Tim Tam Cafe Latte the other week. My new favourite.

  • I love Tim tams but am now boycotting due to them reducing the number of biscuits in a pack. Please join me and together we can reverse this atrocity

    • fine but im only grabbing 1 pack instead of 2 now

  • +3

Apparently cocoa prices are sky high right now, so expect more shrinkflation for chocolates…

    • +1

      expect more shrinkflation for chocolates

Unfortunately, they're more likely to reduce the amount of cocoa content in their chocolate, as they do for some of the cheaper Easter eggs. Then they add vegetable fat, and then often add food colouring to make the resulting "chocolate" look the correct colour. If you find food colouring 110 on the ingredients list (Sunset yellow, but can create brown), beware.

      Have a read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_chocolate

I vaguely remember not so long ago the normal price for a packet of Tim Tam was $2.20. How times have change.

    • +2

      How tims have changed

    • normal price for a packet of Tim Tam was $2.20

The "half price" for them, just over a year ago, was $2

  • +3

Free CAKE if you shop online and spend over $50 too.

  • Arnott's Family Pack is where it's at. Don't settle for anything less!

    • +2

Currently cheaper to buy the smaller packs with a choice of flavours though

  • Deal is back :)

  • I'm not racist but the white one's are far superior.
