http://bonusmysteryflight.com.au/terms.php

OK - now that I've got that out of my system…oh, and this better not be a dupe, cause it took me ten minutes to come up with that.

  • 1 nights accommodation plus return flight for 1 person, or 2 nights plus return flights for 2 people (linked booking) in 3.5 to 4 star hotel
  • $30 booking fee applies per person
  • The offer commences on 1 November 2012 and closes on 30 November 2012
  • Each Mystery Trip must be booked by 31 December 2012 and must be taken between 1 February 2013 and 30 November 2013 (inclusive)
  • Travel ‘blackout’ periods applying including the periods between 13 March 2013 and 18 March 2013 (inclusive) and between 28 March 2013 and 2 April 2013 (inclusive)

I bought 2 x 6 packs for $120, so for me and the wife, it is a total of $180 for 12 bottles of wine plus 2 nights accommodation with return flights :)

We scored ours over a public holiday, and friends have theirs booked in the school holidays.

Took about 7 working days from first sending off for the deal to getting confirmation of our dates of departure.

The guys from the bottle shop said the Jacobs Creek rep advised the trips from Perth will be with Virgin to Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne…not sure about other cities.

The stickers may be in an envelope under the counter, although most of my friends have found stickered bottles.

Looks to be 5 different varieties of Cool Harvest:

http://www.jacobscreek.com.au/wines/cool-harvest

It's also advertised in the latest Cellarbrations catalogue…page 4:

http://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/imageicon/clb/prod/j0052293…

And no, this is not a competition - I have had 14 friends and family jump on this already, and got this response from the Jacob Creek reps:

"all participants that satisfy the entry conditions and have a valid claim will receive the offer as outlined"

        • Fixed, guy goes "You've really done your research". Half the fun of OzBargain is the hunt.

    • Thanks! I just tonight picked up the last dozen from there. The guy was very helpful and already knew to put it through on two transactions. :)

  • +2

Seems like the promoters have been "Ozbargained"

I just called the support line to confirm if all 4 types of the Cool Harvest wine where part of the promotion and as i picked up I heard someone say in the background "I wish they'd stop calling!!"

    • +1

if the response becomes too great we may have to start flying Tiger..

      • +2

The mystery then becomes IF you take off, not where you land.

    • So, did you get the answer wethere all of the range are ok

    • so what is their answer? Did they confirm that all 4 types of the Cool Harvest wine were part of the promotion?

      • Am 99% sure all 5 types are ok…we used 3 different types on our claim.

  • The guy at celebrations told me it was ok to have 12 bottles on 1 receipt to claim for two people, is this the case? Or do I need to go back and get 2 recipts with 6 bottles each on them?

    • Needs to be separate. It's two separate claims until the actual booking stage.

      • I've made 2 separate claims online, can't I post the 1 receipt, the 2 claim forms and 12 stickers together?

        • Same thing happened to me. I went back and got a refund for 12 bottles on 1 receipt and re purchased under 2 receipts just to be safe.

    • +7

I emailed them and got the following response:

Thank you for your questions regarding the Cool Harvest Jacobs Creek Mystery
      Flight promotion.

You can include the one receipt with the 12 stickers and 2 application forms
in one envelope and send it to us.

Thank you and with kind regards,
      Kate

  • guys make it easy on yourself.

    1) Locate 12 bottles with stickers
    2) Go and purchase 6 of them, take them to the car or leave them at the counter
    3) Go back, grab the other 6, and purchase them too

Then you have two receipts, two lots of bottles.

And as already mentioned, use ING paywave if possible for 5% back

There are lots of people presenting issues from having bought it all in one shot.

    • +2

I took 12 to the counter and asked for two sales of 6 . No problem.

  • Scored it. Got last 6 cases with 2 mates on West Beach/Sip N Save - SA. Thanks OP!

  • the problem is many people can't find 6 in one hit

    • Celebrations had them behind the desk stapled up in lots of 6 ready to go.

      • +1

        which location?

  • +7

For those who managed to get this deal at Liquorland tomorrow, you can combined all these :)

    • I found lots of bottles with sticker at Liquorland and managed to grab 2 x 6packs, Liquorland is selling $60 for 6 bottles
    • Liquorland doesn't have PayWave terminal so just go to Coles next door and get Coles Myers gift card and pay with ING PayWave. Remember to split the payment of less than $100 (i.e $95) if you get a $120 Coles Myer gift card.

    • You can get 5x Flybuys points, starting from Friday
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85432

    • Also you will get 8c fuel vouchers, so if you buy 2 x 6packs you will get 2 fuel vouchers :)

    • Wow, Oz Bargain crown.

      • I bought mine today anyway, found 12 bottles but for the same Sauvignon Blanc only so I asked the store manager if I can get other varieties and peeled off the sticker instead and she even helped me to peel off the stickers from the other bottles :)

It's too risky to wait until tomorrow to buy it so I'm thinking about getting it refunded and buy back tmr for my flybuys points … lol :D

    • -4

A true ozbargainer. I rang my husband all excited that I had found the bottles and all he was interested in was why I didn't ask for a bulk discount (I bought 60 bottles). If he sees your idea I'll be in trouble.

      • +2

The discount is automatically applied I guess ;) Dans Murphy got it cheaper for $9.40 per bottle if you buy 6 but they don't have the special sticker.

With this 8c voucher for my tank which I usually fill up with my friend to maximise the value (50L per tank x 2 = 100L) this Liquorland deal work out cheaper than Dans Murphy.

Geez, this months alone I spent so much for bargains
        1. Samsung core i7 3rd gen for $570
        2. Canon 600D body from JB Hifi $100 trade-in with my crappy old, shitty HP camera
        - Got a lens kit from 1100D deal from Harvey Norman and I'm gonna sell the 1100D body. I missed out the DSE deal which comes with a better IS lens kit
        3. Motorola Atrix from Click Frenzy Factory Scoop deal $160 and I also manage to get refund of $40 for those Atrix I bought earlier at $199
        4. I love buying from JB Hifi since I managed to buy JB Hifi gift card for around 10% - 14% off face value on gumtree

and I'm still thinking about whether I should get Galaxy Note with 10% off deal from JB Hifi and $100 cash back from Samsung

      • +1

Why do you need 60 bottles when it's only 2 claims per household?

      • +1

        You bought SIXTY bottles? Why?

        • -1

For family and friends at different households. 60 bottles is only 5 couples. This is a great Xmas present. I would love it if someone gave me a holiday for xmas. They had plenty left for others to get and were very happy to do separate receipts. Guess people in my area aren't on ozbargain.

        • +1

I hope you bought them in lots of six (ie you have 10 separate receipts).

        • +1

You need to apply before Xmas but…

        • Already applied for all of them so they will just need to book their flights before 31st December , I'll give them the codes when I get them . I don't think it will ruin the present too much if they find out what they are getting before Xmas. Just as long as I don't tell them about Santa. ;)

      • what are you talking about? Did you read my post? Go to Coles and buy Coles Myer gift card, pay using ING PayWave then go back to Liquorland to pay for your purchase using the Coles Myer gift card you just bought… geezz..

  • -3

Reading the T&C just before. If you have two people from the same household entering it looks like you only get 1 night stay EACH (being two nights in total). Kirt makes it sound like you get a 2 night stay.

    • +1

If you pay $180 (total)- 2 x 6 bottles @ $120 + 60 booking fees you will get 2 flights and 2 nights stay for two people in a hotel.

Did you think that each person would get 2 nights? 4 nights total?

      • OK. Has anyone done the double book with someone that doesn't actually live in the same household?
(This is hoping I actually find the bottles… Reading the comments it doesn't sound very likely lol)

        • Just say you live in the same house. How would they know?

      • -5

yes each person gets two nights each, together, in the one room, four nights when you add the two individual experiences together.

but no is the answer you're looking for.

        • Is it? I was trying to do this as a gift for a family member.

        • Dude, It's 1 night for 1 person 2 nights for 2 people. There is no 4 nights.

        • Zegga - Each ticket comes with 1 night (TWIN SHARE), hence if you do 2 bookings, you get 2 nights (twinshare)

          ilikebargains's information is incorrect.

        • for the love of god it was sarcasm. The same information has been repeated over and over and over, and it's in black and white literally in the T&C. I make light of it and i'm negged and told i'm incorrect rofl. I even stated the actual answer in my last line. This site is a brilliant resource but it's also full of many people who keep asking the same question that's been answered by many other helpful members over and over.

          but hey, neg away again!

  • 3 stickered bottles left at BWS Camberwell (VIC)

  • I called them you can send one receipt with 2 claim number in one letter

  • +3

    [NSW, SYD]
BWS North Ryde has none left (Took the last 6 with stickers), has Pinot Grigio left but without stickers
Cellarbrations East Ryde has none left
Dan Murphys Top Ryde has heaps of Cool Harvest with no stickers
Gladsville BWS has 6 Sauv + 6 Pinot Grigio all with no stickers

Cellarbrations Concord West had 2 cases (6 each, 1 is an open box all with stickers, the other case should also have stickers) of Sauv left (after I took one case) + 1 case of stickered Pinot Grigio (there are 2 bottles of Grigio left, without stickers) behind the counter on hold for a customer.

TLDR: Cellarbrations Concord West has 2 cases of JC Cool Harvest Sauv Blanc, of which 1 open box definitely is stickered, the other one should be as well (since my case was an unopened box and the counterguy opened it up to doublecheck), you can put it on hold, this information is correct as of 1:25pm
Here is Concord West Cellarbrations Contact details, and address
Address: 27 Victoria Avenue, Concord West NSW 2138
    Phone: (02) 9736 2626

Tip for the Cool Harvest Hunters - instead of driving around, give each store a call, and make sure they have stickers (get them to put it on hold) then pick it up.

    http://www.cellarbrations.com.au/stores/
Click Change and put some postcodes near you into it, then press Go, scroll down (below the map) and you should have 3 or 4 cellarbration stores for calling up.

Thanks to the OP, my spoils for the day :)

    • What's the thing in the middle for?

      • Just a little pamphlet and the T&C's on the back :)

    • Called and the guy has already put on hold for someone.

      • Maybe try Dundas Cellarbrations?

Also lister - there's a charlie's liquor very close to concord west cellars - maybe give them a call?

        • I got my husband to check West Ryde Woolworths and they had 5 stickers.. so made him buy one extra non-sticker bottle (6 bottles/5 stickers). I then called Liquorland North Rocks and they had 9 bottles! So I got him to put 7 aside for me (needed that sticker from the 7th bottle). And so now I have my 12 bottles/stickers!!! North Rocks still had two Sauv Blanc with stickers.. if anyone wants the stickers..

A hint I was given was to try Eastwood Woolworths Liquor.. just in case anyone else wants, not that I know if they have any. But worth giving a call!

          YAY! <mystery> here I come!!!!

          Good work fellow OzBargainer.

          Congrats Lister :)
Macq Center Woolies Liquor didn't pick up the phone for me :(

  • [QLD, BNE] - Southside

Thirsty Camel Rochedale - Kept in envelope, at least 6 ($10 each)
(heavily advertised on website and instore)
Dan Murphy Springwood - 4 bottles ($9.60 each)
Liquorland Springwood (near coles) - 5 bottles ($15 each)

  • Here comes my trips for 2 ppl :) I managed to get all the 4 types of Jacobs Creek Cool Harvest wines

    http://i48.tinypic.com/t0ri9v.jpg

  • Can someone clarify how they applied for 2 people? The online claim form claim seems to be a one only sort of thing. Cheers

    • +1

      Make two online claims

  • The guy at my thirsty camel said he will bring in more stock on wednesday. I wonder whether those bottles will have the promotion?

I know it says till 30th nov but who knows?

  • 12 bottles from BWS in Malaga (WA) even let me go back and put on two receipts, Kalgoorlie here we come…

    • But BWS is $13-$14 per bottle right?

      • The North Ryde BWS had them for $11 each, or $10 when you buy 6 or more

  • I live in the western suburbs of perth. There are 4 liquor stores within 300metres of each other so I went to all of them. The first one will be getting the SB in tomorrow and more stickers. (He has 6 stickers but is holding them for me until he gets all the wine and 6 more stickers - tomorrow.) The second store had two bottles with stickers and he told me I could have those two stickers. The third and fourth had none and wouldn't get any.

I then drove and about a km away found a shop with 6 stickers and the Pinot Grigio. So I bought that.

So,,,,,, I have two stickers extra. Does anyone want them?

I will also disclose the location of the stickers once I secure my second lot.

    • It's a bit useless cause you need 6 bottles in one transaction - unless someone manages to buy 4 with stickers + 2 unmarked bottles.

      • lots of places with the wine but no stickers… collect 6 stickers then buy 6 bottles in one transaction.

    • Can I have them please? Check your PM.

    • I also have 1 spare if anyone is mega keen wgong location

  • +1

I managed to grab 6 stickered bottles, in two different locations, for a total of 12! (Visited probably 10 bottlo's to find the two with stock)

  • No sticker stock at these places:

    1St choice Braddon
Bws Dickson (old store had one bottle only)
    local liquor dickson

  • Just bought 2 x 6 packs from mt waverley cellarbrations. Plenty of stock and stickers are given at register. Staff very helpful.

  • I have 1 spare sticker. Happy for anyone who is interested in collecting from work in Prahran.

    • I'd love the spare sticker if it's still available? Would be very much appreciated!

      • Hi Helenen, I've sent you a message with my details.

        • Thanks Rocket - no longer required, as I managed to track down my final stickered bottle today.

To the other Cool Harvest hunters: there was one stickered bottle left at the BWS located on 162-168 Nicholson St, Footscray. Phone no is (03) 9689 3303. Good luck!

  • I got 6 from my local Bottle-O - which was his entire supply. Apparently someone had phoned earlier, but they will be disappointed when they get there. This promo is not going to last long. Sounds a bit like bait advertising.

    • No, it started 1st Nov - ends 30th Nov, been running for a good 3 weeks now. Just because we only heard it during the last week of promotions doesn't mean it's bait advertising.

      • -1

        cwong,
do you have any idea what you are talking about, or did you just look at the website?
It is very new so far as my local bottle shops know. Maybe it has only just arrived in Perth.

        • -1

It's true…it started on the 1st November…I bought mine in Perth that day three weeks ago.

I held off posting until I got my confirmation, and a few other friends had their processed too.

        • -1

          Where did you see it?
Two shops I spoke to had only heard of it this week. Maybe because of you spreading the word :)
The bottle-O catalog is valid from a few days ago.

        • +1

          manic,
I'm absolutely clueless. As you said I've only looked at the website, read the terms and conditions, since it's the official documentation, while the promotion may have rolled out publicly in a catalog a week ago, I'm pretty sure if the sticker says it starts at 1st November, then that's when it's supposed to be available. As the Dan Murphy's shop assistant says, it depends on when they exhaust their existing stock (then re-order more through their suppliers/distributors (there are many) when they get their new stock that has stickers on them)

From the T&C's of the promotion (not from some local bottle shop assistant who knows what they're talking about)
The offer commences at 12:00am AEDT on 1 November 2012 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 30 November 2012 or earlier if stock of Jacob's Creek Cool Harvest is exhausted in the market place (Purchase Period), Claims will be accepted up to last mail received by the Promoter on 14 December 2012 (Claim Period).

As kirt has said (being a good ozbargainer) he confirmed that it was a valid deal before posting this up.

Oh, forgot to say, I asked around 6 liquor shops to get my dozen. So yep, again, I'm absolutely clueless, your local bottle shops definitely know everything and you are absolutely correct, definitely bait advertising. Time to threaten Jacobs Creek with the ACCC and Today Tonight!

          By the way

Apparently someone had phoned earlier, but they will be disappointed when they get there.

If the shop assistant who took that call said he'd hold onto the stock for that customer, that is pretty poor form from the shop assistant.

        • Calm down. Sorry, it was badly worded but a real question, as the bottleshops I had spoken to had not even heard of it until recently. So I speculated (wrongly) that the promotional stock had only recently appeared around here. It seems actually that it was people phoning recently that alerted them to it.

You could just answer, "no I was not basing that merely on the T&Cs but by speaking to local shop".

Since then I spoke to others who had still not heard of it, or know for weeks.

If the shop assistant who took that call said he'd hold onto the stock for that customer, that is pretty poor form from the shop assistant.

He just asked as I was leaving if I was the one who phoned earlier.

  • There were ay least 12 labelled sav blanc left at Dan Murphys Hornsby at 6pm.

  • managed to get 12 bottles for me and the missus! cheers OP!!!

  • Any more stickers in Perth

  • Just found (and purchased) in Perth. BWS in Belmont no longer has any. Got 8 there but purchased 6 and 6 (4 with no stickers). Then when to liquorland at Belmont Forum. Jackpot! I'd say as of right now they likely have at least 12 left. They were more expensive there but if you buy 6 the price drops to $10 each. Was only able to find Sauvignon blanc, Pinot grigio and rose.

  • QLD - Brisbane - Southside
Found 11 @ 1st Choice Cannon Hill Brisbane this morning. Bought 6. Guy there called 1st Choice Mansfield Brisbane & they had 18. Got another 6 there @ 12noon. They had 2 cases (12 bottles) left at the the time.
All at $10 / bottle for a buy of 6.
    Thanks OP.. great deal

  • no dice so far in melbourne for me tonight, will look again tomorrow but most people look at me and say 'DUHHH?' when i ask

    • Cellabrations Mt Waverley have heaps

    • Dan Murphys Glen Waverley also had some stock this morning :)

      • thanks guys, will look tomorrow

  • got 6 at BWS, plus Kopperberg 500ml for $3 bottle, 10% off the wine as well… WIN WIN
    SA Woodville.
got 6 rose at Sip'N'Save Tapleys Hill Rd, Glenelg North (SA) had no stickers on them, but manager ripped them off other bottles for me.

thanks for the heads up… im well and truly stocked up with wine (Thanks GraysOnline and Jacobs Creek)

thanks to the OP, i never would of known…

  • VIC
Epping liquorland still has about 6 left on shelf.

NONE in Bottle-O Reservoir (I grab the last 6 =))
    NONE in Dan Murphy Epping
NONE in 1st choice liquor Preston (northland)
    NONE in liquorland Northland
    NONE in BWS/liquorland/woolworth liquor Bundoora

  • Was able to get my 5 x bottles @ 1st choice and Woolies liquor fully refunded. Then re-purchased with 6 x bottle from both… oh well 14 bottles of wine - its not like it'll go to waste

  • Looks like the Re Store in Leederville (WA) has quite a few bottles left (collect your stickers when you pay).

    • Thanks I got the last 12

  • Anyone know if you can bring an infant?

    • I hope so!! Haha mines 6 months old

    • Me too, ours is 2 months old.

Can't imagine it being a problem. It will be up to the airlines. I'm pretty sure the hotel won't be an issue.

    • Same here. Mine is just 5 months old.

      • Haha we need more baby bargains!! Any on Prams?? Sorry to go off topic

    • I've done the research. Can't book with one as the comp is 18+. Called Virgin and can change the tickets and it's free to add one, over the phone, but it's only 3 days before departure that we get ticket information! And apparently they only have 6-8 infant spots per flight.

Could be a gamble. Gotta convince the Mrs that the gamble is worth it!

      • Dammit :(

      • Hi guys, i inquired about this with support and got this response:

"Once you receive your confirmation itinerary 72 hrs. prior to departure you will just need to give us a call and we will add in the infant for you. However this is at your own expense."
