OK - now that I've got that out of my system…oh, and this better not be a dupe, cause it took me ten minutes to come up with that.

  • 1 nights accommodation plus return flight for 1 person, or 2 nights plus return flights for 2 people (linked booking) in 3.5 to 4 star hotel
  • $30 booking fee applies per person
  • The offer commences on 1 November 2012 and closes on 30 November 2012
  • Each Mystery Trip must be booked by 31 December 2012 and must be taken between 1 February 2013 and 30 November 2013 (inclusive)
  • Travel ‘blackout’ periods applying including the periods between 13 March 2013 and 18 March 2013 (inclusive) and between 28 March 2013 and 2 April 2013 (inclusive)

I bought 2 x 6 packs for $120, so for me and the wife, it is a total of $180 for 12 bottles of wine plus 2 nights accommodation with return flights :)

We scored ours over a public holiday, and friends have theirs booked in the school holidays.

Took about 7 working days from first sending off for the deal to getting confirmation of our dates of departure.

The guys from the bottle shop said the Jacobs Creek rep advised the trips from Perth will be with Virgin to Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne…not sure about other cities.

The stickers may be in an envelope under the counter, although most of my friends have found stickered bottles.

      Seems odd, some people are having their dates confirmed prior to people that submitted earlier….

    just got an email from the Jacobs Creek support team
    "I can see that it has been received and they are working on it, as we have
    received 1000s of claims we are working on getting them all validated as
    soon as possible. We appreciate your patience on this. Once your claim has
    been validated you will receive an email."

        From their T&Cs.
        Short version: Claims are deemed accepted at the time of receipt. You have until the 31st of December to book. It's not a con job since there have been already accepted claims.

        For some reason, the below clauses are coming up as 1,2,3, it's from 7, 9 and 12

        1. Claims will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission. Claims received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible claims will be deemed invalid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected claims. Incorrect details entered on the online entry form by a Claimant will deem a claim invalid.

        2. Once a claim has been validated by the Promoter, the Claimant will receive an email to the email address provided on their online entry form detailing how they can claim. Validation of claims will take up to seven (7) days.

        3. Each Mystery Trip must be booked by 11.59pm (AEDT) on 31 December 2012 and must be taken between 1 February 2013 and 30 November 2013 (inclusive), or the Mystery Trip is forfeited.

      14 December is for them to receive our claim.. 31st December is for us to respond to them (to book) after they've verified the claim. Get it?

      This doesn't directly answer your question, but I mailed mine Monday last week, had it approved last week, submitted dates on the weekend, and got the final confirmation with dates and times today.

    I just heard about this deal last Friday - last day! Managed to buy 6 bottles each at BWS & Liquorland, but no stickers. Very kind attendant at local Liquorland obligingly pulled the expired stickers off the bottles for me today when I pointed out to him that they had expired. Unfortunately he could only find 8 - I'm sure there were heaps there last Saturday after I'd bought the unstickered ones. So……please does anyone Northside Brisvegas happen to have 4 lone stickers to help me out with?

    Plus, I tried to register on Sunday, but the site was closed off. I emailed the promoters and pointed out that there was nowhere in the T&C that stated registration had to be completed by 30/11, only the bottles purchased, and they have re-opened the site. Nothing like leaving everything to the last minute!

        yep, i sent mine on tuesday too, they received it on thursday. hopefully will get the booking code this week (since they say to wait 7 working days). was stressing out about normalnot's comments. would be super pissed if i didn't get the holiday since i have paid $120 for wine that i wouldn't otherwise buy and am giving the holiday as a christmas present.

I sent standard post but pretty sure they received on thurs. i emailed them but got the same generic response as heathsouter abt them being inundated with 1000s of claims. I wouldn't think they were giving away that many considering how hard it was to find the marked bottles!?

        yeh .. the bottle shop i got my last 6 stickers at (a cellarbrations) only received 6 stickers in total. they didn't understand the promotion and were only going to give me 1 sticker for buying 6 bottles.

      I have submitted my dates last week Thursday 29th and tried to resubmit it again this morning but it says that my travel companion code has not been validated yet. Emailed them and get the generic response "Due to the over whelming response on the promotion, we are working on this as fast as possible. Once your booking has been made you will receive an email confirming your departure date and time." :(

    Got flight confirmations yesterday after initial confirmation of claim last Thrusday. Leaving 8th June Queens birthday wkend for two nights from Melbourne flight times match the Gold Coast flights on Virgin. Pretty happy with that flights alone are $200 each return wonder what the hotel will be like in the Gold Coast they must have a bulk booked somewhere.

    just a question with the dates you choose… if you choose a date and then link to travel with another person, do you get the next night as well, or can it be either side of the date you provide?

    say if i choose 2 February, will it automatically be the 3rd or can they give you the 1st (Just an example) if that makes sense.

    Got our flight confirmation times from Perth in early May 2013. Looks like the flights are to Melbourne return on Virgin, worth $350 each return. Can't complain about that!!! What an awesome bargain.

          Submitted our dates this morning and got a reply only a hour or so later. Our return flight leaves at 10am, so we'll lose that day entirely. A bit disappointed that we'll be arriving late and leaving early, but given that it IS a bit of a break and has only cost us less than $100 each, not complaining.

      Based off the prices to my destination, $80 each way, it seems I have paid the price for other peoples over inflated $380 flights.. So they keep within their budget. Hardly fair.

      Not to be a sour bastard but there is nothing to do in Rockhampton. They have a botanical gardens in the CBD and a closed down island, 40km away (great kepel island).

      Would have preferred Brisbane to Gold Coast (40 min drive) more than this messily excuse of a holiday.

      so butthurt right now.

      Will most def forfeit this trip, $190 for 12 bottles of wine I won't drink.

      Regardless, still an epic deal as most people got great destinations.

    Got my flights booked as 10:10 from Sydney and 17:05 back, matched both way and it appear to be Gold Coast. Will double check it and book the same flight for my 3 yo son. And keep an eye on OZB for theme park promotions.

      Called Virgin Australia to add my son with us, the lady was very helpful, and dropped the call centre price to match the online price as I can not book the child alone through internet. Also confirmed my guestimation about the flights. Paid 227.7 for the kid, and everything is done.

          I think you should be able to change it but expect some fee for doing that ($80? on the website).
