This a newly announced lens. It got a very good first-impression review from Roger Cicala (LensRental). It even scores better than Canon 35mm f/1.4L lens.

    The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM lens is much cheaper on the same site, if you don't mind going slightly wider (it's about the same on a crop sensor as standard "nifty fifty" on full-frame). Very nice lens… I love mine :-)

      DC lenses dont work on full frame

      Sigma DC = Canon EF-S Lenses
      Sigma DG = Canon EF Lenses

    So was the $808 price valid? At $885 it's not a great deal anymore, if I could still get it at $808 I would definitely preorder.
