    These are VERY good earphones, have been using mine for a while and they are great, can't fault their sound quality.

        Yes, yes definitely more pronounced bass and treble, if you like clean mids, look elsewhere.

          Compared to the Vsonic GR02 Bass edition which is around the same price as the R1 they have a V shaped sound. GR02 is much more balanced.

    MP4Nation's currency conversion is quite good. Google says USD$29.50 = AUD$28.21.

    I selected AUD as the currency (selection at the top of the ordering page), and the cost changed to AUD$28.40, which is likely very close what I would have been charged on my 28 degrees card, had I chosen to purchase in USD.

    Love the headphones.

    Bought the M4 when the deal was posted last time, my first taste of proper earphones. They were great, but wanted to also get the more bass heavy R1's next time they were on sale. So thanks OP for posting this link!

      Well if you read any of the reviews the op posted or maybe even googled then you'd find that in one review he compares them to the much higher quality M2 and even B2 and he states that in his opinion the R1 is better. So the beta's being entry level el cheapo ones arent even worth mentioning.

        well in my opinion this is not entirely true, I have M2, M4 and Beta, I like Beta much more than M2 or M4. Beta has more balanced sound especially in the mid-range. M2 and M4, has more clarity in treble, but too much strident for my ear.

    My R1 package arrived today - very fast shipping, only 3 days from ordering.
    However I'm extremely disappointed with the quality control with this product.
    One of the wires has stripped plastic insulation at the Y split / base where the wires split into two.
    The metal wire is clearly exposed!

    Received mine today, nice piece of kit with all the ear pieces and hard case. Good for the money, although I don't get the "wow" factor that others report.
