I think refurb should go in the title…

  • What is its price elsewhere ? Is it available for pickup in Sydney?

    • +3

Looks like its in the US…

it is a certified AT&t Reconditioned product

      2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
      3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900
      According to GSM Arena

So, really only going to be compatible with Telstra NextG (Unless you want a 2G only smartphone)

  • +3

4G in name only - this is not 4th Generation ultrafast broadband (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_inspire_4g-3706.php)…

    • Yeah, good point, the US Mobile Networks are scandalously advertising their 3.5G network (roughly equivalent to our 3G networks) as 4G!!

      • +2

Didn't Telstra advertise 850Mhz as 3.5G at one point? Also, our '4G' doesn't meet the 4G standards either.

Edit: Sorry, HSPA was called '3.5G', which is consistant with this phone (if stupid).

  • such a miss-leading title

  • 3G Network HSDPA 850

That is same as Telstra NextG isn't it???

    • Yes.

  • Can you use this phone with TPG? If not, anyone know of a good deal on a phone that works with TPG. Want to upgrade Mum's phone for xmas. She's still on a phone she got in 2006 the old dear!

    • +4

That's a bloody long phone call!

    • No, Telstra only

    • Is there anything wrong with the existing phone? Does she actually want a phone with fancy features? Consider what sort of platform/requirements first. For TPG look for a phone with UMTS 900 and 2100.

    • I have the AT&T HTC Inspire 4g bought from USA. I am using a Live Connected sim in it. Works perfectly fine.
I have also used Virgin and Lycamobile sims and they worked too.

      • Do you get 3G connection or only Edge (2G)? Specs say that it shouldn't work (on 3G).

        • how do i find that out? my mobile internet speed is pretty ok

        • +1

You should see a 3G or H next to your signal bars when you're connected to 3G.

  • It will on 2G only!

  • hi n1wireless, I'm still waiting for my bluetooth handfree kit that I ordered nearly a month ago and have sent numerous emails to your support team without any response. Can you help me chase this up?

  • Sure order number

  • order 1507738, thanks

  • Wouldn't it be better to put AU$ 167.55 / Each instead?

  • Quite out of date, and refurb too. Wouldn't spend $100 on that. It's antique.

    • Hi, I've tried contacting them and they would like you to lodge a missing parcel claim. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • Well, its only one older version than the latest "HTC ONE S/X" which cost almost double $339

    • That is a big jump though. Much better screen, much better CPU, much newer software, works on UMTS 850/900/2100.

  • hi n1wireless, is it possible to PM you instead of hijacking this post? when i try to PM you, it says you don't accept new PMs..
Anyways, Australia Post says the poster (ie. you) need to lodge a claim with them for a missing parcel? As the recepient, I can't lodge a claim myself. It's great to finally get some help on this issue, thanks

  • Other peoples ear sweat and spit = yuk/
