  • I’ve been looking for a bt speaker that stays on and uses ac. Have a HomePod mini but doesn’t quite work since I use my phone to hotspot, it fails to connect quite often. Also too sensitive when I sit next to it, it prompts itself on my phone all the time. These look legit but a little bit on the heavy side. Any suggestions?

    • If they're anything like the 1280B, they're SUPER light. I'd say my JBL Go3 is heavier than 1 side of these speakers.. 😅

      • Erm if you mean the 1280DB, they're 4.9kg net weight so like 2.5kg per unit. I would in no way call that SUPER light.
I have the 1280DBS and they are hefty.

        • My cats that weighs less is often knocking them over.. 😅 So that's what 2.5kg feels like? I can push them around the entertainment unit with 1 finger and barely any pressure.. 🤣

@WasBargain: You must be jacked! I think mine weigh the same and I couldn't push them around, nor my cat (thankfully)

            • @theguyrules: Heh. So I got mine from a bargain warehouse in Springvale, Victoria probably like 3 - 4 years ago now. The deal was posted here. I THINK it was $50, new in box. But I'm wondering if they're fake now.. 😅

          • @WasBargain: Umm, do you have a bottle of 2l milk in the fridge? That would be comparable for 2kgs, or some laundry detergent. My cat generally can’t knock off that much weight unless they are a top-heavy or tall shape.

      • How do they handle multiple bt sources? How hard is it to switch from say a phone to a tablet? Do you have to disconnect the phone first then connect the tablet?

  • The postage estimate says 'free', but when I try to process the order it adds $13.95 postage. (I'm in Metro NSW)

OK Fixed. You only get free postage when you have an account.

  • I have these at home, been pretty happy with them, I use them to replace my in built tv speaker in place of a sound bar.

Music and dialog is much clearer and quite happy overall. BT syncs well while using Spotify when I connect with my phone

Yeah these are good cheap brand, they are what we thought Logitech was when I was a kid.

  • I have these as my desktop speakers. Love them and great price too.

    • I have music going on the woodgrain version of the $100 edifier 24/7 and it sounds decent.

  • These be for great for Soundburger or get one with sub?

  • Got these for $99 a few months ago and have them in the living area. They're good and I'm tempted to get another pair to use as computer speakers.

  • +3

    Didn't realise there was 1380db

  • How do these compare to the MR4? I need a new pair of bookshelves for my turntable.

  • 42w RMS with that form factor? The f….

Tronsmart has mini portable speakers with 50w (25+25) output

  • worth noting that these have optical in

so could be an option for upgrading crappy tv speakers

    • +1

Or repurposing an old AppleTV with optical out.

Works perfectly to essentially add Airplay to these speakers

  • anyone else waiting for them to ship out?

    ordered monday and zero movement
