    I pre-ordered two Ipod Touches with Apple TV yesterday as they don't have any stock. Can I go in tomorrow and pay $200 deposit for one Ipod and buy the rest in Gift cards with 12% discount (ie $450 gift cards cost about $400 rounded). Would this work ? Or is there some catch ?

    Edit - Just saw the reply from Penthius, so I need to pay $587.50 deposit and get $70.5 in gift card and pay the rest with it. Would they accept this ?

        I was thinking to use it when I come in to collect the Ipods, not straight away. The question is will I have to wait for the gift card/voucher in the mail or will they issue it straight away.

        Went in today and paid for the two ipods+AppleTV and immediately got back $78.96 in gift cards (2 gift cards of $39.48 each). Too complicated trying to explain to the lady at the till that I only want to pay $587.50 and collect the gift cards ($70.50) and pay the balance with them. Anyway, I used one of the gift cards on a Braun shaver (as a deal on here as well and just sent a cash back form to Braun) so Xmas presents for kids and the Mrs are taken care of. Now anyone wants a AppleTV.

    Hmm, not a HN fan but i'm in the market for a new Ipad for Christmas.

    They're charging the same as the Apple store, and for the 32G Retina Display Wifi i'd get a $77 gift card with this promotion.

    A worthwhile purchase, or am i likely to get a better deal before Christmas?

      Not normally you will see a lot discount for iPads.

        If you are definitely purchasing an iPad for Christmas, I'd firstly confirm that HN will match Big W's price, then go get it from HN with the bonus of a gift card.

          BTW, normally shop like BIGW will be a bit cheaper like than HN.

    My local HN store said that gift vouchers weren't available on Miele goods, nor were the gift vouchers available on items they have to "order in" which aren't part of their regular stock (I'm chasing a Mitsubishi uber fridge).
    Apparently the vouchers are an incentive to clear current floor and warehouse stock (which I can kind of understand).

    i asked their online chat assistant if the 12% was valid when purchasing ipads and he confirmed yes you can get the 12% voucher, so thats pretty good!

    Just went to Liverpool store in Sydney picked up two nexus 7 16GB. first i got to price match Msy at $249 which was ok but when i went to pay they said i could either have the price match or the 12% off but not both. So ended up getting the 12% off which works out to $235 each. However the sales rep said that you can take the 12% off the purchase price straight away. But she did say this is only for electrical. all other sections you receive a gift card.
