i have the non mech version and the paint is coming off after 1.5 year…. pretty bad quality for a $150 keyboard imo. I emailed logitech and they said out of warranty.

can get replacement keys off ebay for like $10 a key thou

In what world is 1.5 years not a reasonable timeline to offer warranty on a keyboard.

    • there's a non mech version of this?

      • Yea the first MX keyboard I guess

    • 1.5 years of every-day use? Or 5 days a week use? That is about 260 days (Monday to Friday) a year, less any leave.

390 (1.5 years Monday-Friday) of use which is 40 cents a day for the keyboard. In my view, that isn't too bad. I spend more money on coffee every day!

I've had mine for a fair while and the only issue I've got a bit of wear mark on the space bar when my thumbnail hits. Otherwise all the other keys are fine.

Im a coder and use the keyboard like 5 days a week for 6-8hrs. its on the alt key (on mac) for copy and pasting etc

I had $30 keyboards from way back and the paint doesnt come off after 10+ years… i think logitech can do better.

    • Yeah Logitech keyboards aren't that great in my experience. Had a G912 keyboard failing to connect via usb, just outside warranty of 2 years.

  • Great price for a great typing experience.

My preference would be that it was a little quieter… but it's still a mechanical keyboard so that comes with the territory.

There are quieter tactile switches out there like Jade Yellows or Akko Penguins :)

But would obviously need a hotswap board to use them.

So this is the quiet version but it is NOT quiet?

You could look at adding o-rings to the underside of the keycap, assuming these have the right style of attachment. It helps minimise the bottoming out "clack" sound.
I've also noticed a large difference using a mechanical keyboard on a desk mat vs directly on a desk.

Good battery. I have this for 13 months now and charged twice (without backlight)
