    I got one of these after having the Xiaomi A9 for a few years. Everyone in our house has long hair, and we were constantly having to detangle hair from the roller head on the A9. The Shark has no issue with hair at all. I figured the self-cleaning brush roll would be marketing rubbish, but it's been absolutely awesome compared to the A9 - moreso than you would expect despite the price difference.

    Got this one from from Amazon for $267 few months back, the best investment I made this year. Works like a charm, battery life is amazing. Hair de tangling is life saver. Even works great to vacuum my car.

    Does anyone know how well it works on carpet?

      Check out some reviews (not from the 46 year old pensioner on the Big W website) but other places. It rates very highly on both hard and carpet surfaces.

      It works very well on carpet. It has a hard floor setting and a carpet/rug setting. The carpet setting really turns up the effort. They also have a trigger for a bit of extra suction which works on both settings.
