  • Charge PPS-enabled devices like the Galaxy S24 at full speed

    PPS: DC 3.3-11V/3A, 3.3-21V/3A

I'm pretty sure with that PPS Spec, you won't get Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0

    • super fast? isn't it just 45W?

      • It will do super fast charging, just not 2.0.

Samsung SFC 2.0 required PPS 4-5A.

In real life comparison between 1.0 vs 2.0 from 0 to 100% - It's faster at the start, but will both reach 100% at a similar rate.

      • I have got following from Apple website
        "Fast-charge–capable:
Up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes17 with 20W adapter or higher paired with USB-C charging cable, or 30W adapter or higher paired with MagSafe Charger (all available separately)"

so i believe anything more than 30W consider to be fast charger, i think

this product come with 12 months warranty as well.

        • Fast charging is beyond the standard USB charging spec. This may include Quick Charge, PD, etc.

Super Fast Charging is what Samsung's calls PPS on their phones. SFC 2.0 is even faster but requires a certain voltage/amp combo which isn't as frequently implemented.

    • +1

Well, I guess it technically charges the Galaxy S24 at full speed, just not the S24+/S24U (which support Super Fast Charging 2.0).

The PPS going up to 21V does mean this should charge the Pixel 9 Pro XL at full speed though.

      • Ahh right, forgot the base model doesn't support SFC 2.0.

I guess it's a Philips well-known brand product and is safe & reliable? not like those cheap sh|ty unknown brand that will burn my house down?

    • -2

      True!!

      Agree!

Ok.Similar charger on Philips australian website. So not too bad I guess.

      https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/DLP2682CW_00/wall-charger

But the model in this deal seems different.

It might just be some no name company just slapping "Philips" on it like Akai,Hitachi etc

      • Nope that’s not even close equivalent or similar. Best to compare it to other products on the market

One of the closest equivalent products is Anker now for $50 at Amazon which I’ve been using without issues. But this for $32 seems not a bad deal

it looks like the Heymix I bought two days ago. i have now 6 of them, amazing bonfire! lol just kidding, heymix is actually a good brand

      • Yeah using their wireless earbuds now, been like 3 years still going fine.

      • They are good when they are not on fire.

Looks very similar to this one available on amazon

      https://amzn.asia/d/2pI6hjc

      • Looks very similar to this one available on amazon

Mate, they are not similar at all, other than the fact that they are both chargers. Even the measurements are not close (90.6 x 66.3 x 40.4 mm vs 68 x 41.5 x 31.5 mm).

    • Phillips is well known to sell their brand name to other manufacturers.

Like their monitors is made by the same manufacturer as AOC, their audio equipment used to be made by Gibson until their bankurptcy, and their charger seems to be by licensing and partnership, I suppose YMMV.

      • Well sure, but they'll do some basic quality testing to avoid damaging their brand. They'll also still be around if the product goes bad, so warranties and liabilities don't just disappear.

        • in terms of common sense, you would assume they have done enough QA to ensure it doesn't damage their reputation and/or brand name.

however I wouldn't be so confident unless I can see some actual QA spec/guideline before accepting this.

Crappy ones won't burn your house down, but they do overheat and turn off.

    • Thanks for this!

Philips being a reputable brand, why there are less likes or attention towards this deal whereas a unknown brand like Novoo in below deal gets more likes … Am I missing something ?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/860017

    • The number of clicks and the duration the deal has been live both play a role. However, Philips an exceptional product from a globally recognized brand, backed by a 24-month warranty.

      • Pickup not available for this in VIC ?

        • +1

you can check Stock availability during checkout. we have store at Spencer outlet, Docklands VIC.

The other deal is from Amazon AU with free delivery (90% of ozbers have prime anyway).

You say unknown brand but have been posted on ozb since 2018

The product has also been posted here a few times, so users have posted their experiences with it, which are all positive.

Well, most Philips electronics outside of Medical stuff is now just other brands licensing the Philips name. Anyone know the actual brand/company behind this charger?

  • Do the dimensions include the power pins?
I have a very specific usecase and need to make sure this one fits a small space.

I don't understand if single port use will reach the full 60w, or is it still limited to 45w?

    • Output: USB-C 1/C DC5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.25A

yes single port can reach 65W

Simply put, which brand gives me trust to look after my expensive electronics?
At $25.00 this Philips is an easy decision.

  • What did i miss :o
I have a lenovo t470s, it says it required 65w, shouldnt this phillips charger work? Laptop is complaining there isnt enough power, but my other after market hp charger works fine. So i used the usb-c cable from that (good quality / thick cable) and connected to this charger, and laptop says no-go.. thoughts? Thanks

Leaflet in this charger says "single port output, usb-c1/c2, a few configs and last one says 20v/3.25A i.e. 65W

    Lenovo t470s power requirements.
    "Lenovo 65W 20V 3.25A Standard USB Type-C AC Adapter Charger for ThinkPad 25 T470s, T570, T470, P51s Series Laptop."

    Thanks…
