                @gotyourback: Hi GotYourBack, because the BWS website wasn't working properly when this deal commenced, I clicked about 10+ times before I could actually make a purchase.

                I can't be certain as to which click I made my first purchase for $89 at BWS from within the Shopback app on iOS.
                There are two clicks registered within 3 minutes of eachother so I may have filed a missing cashback claim on the wrong click.

                For the second purchase of $76, it seems i'm unable to make a missing cashback report until 10pm tonight as it was made an hour and a half or so before the challenge ended.

                I used my St. George card for both purchases, so I should qualigy for the 27% normal cashback and 10% bank bonus cashback.

                Why are so many of us having problems with cashback tracking for this?

    bought last night, no tracking yet. If it doesn't track in few days may as well not pick up. Raising claim with shopback has become just tiresome process.

    I've sent a message to Gotyourback about this and they seem confused about the extension being used if it will track or not…..bloody confusing and frustrating for all concerned

    • Fwiw I didn't use an extension and still no tracking so I reckon it's a bigger issue

      • yes, I know but they don't even know about the extension being used won't track it, tried to tell me it would and working on their end. I did let him/her know about the tracking issues for most people as well in my reply

          Yeah yesterday 12:22pm order for me, shopback app no extension, still didn't track. I reckon BWS website was having issues around then.

    Waited the 2 days, still no tracking.

    Purchased through the Shopback app in hope of avoiding any issues with tracking after being burnt a month ago, but it appears using the app didn't help matters.

  • Yep, placed two orders, one for $89 around 3am when the site started working, another for $76 around 10pm later that day (with the bonus ending in less than 2 hours)… neither have tracked. Have filed missing cashback for both orders (which should have the 27% cashback plus 10% bank bonus for using my St. George card).

    I clicked the shop now button within the Shopback iOS app, logged into my account at BWS and shopped for the item within the Shopback app's browser window. As far as i'm concerned, i've done it correctly. Clearly, the BWS site was busted and broken when the deal first started and is still possibly broken which is why none of us are getting our cashback tracking properly. Who knows?

    I'm not even 100% sure I reported missing cashback on the correct click activity because I exited and went back to BWS several times as it was showing no products.

    Why did it track for some people within hours, and for others, 2 days later… nothing?

    What a mess. If it wasn't for the cashback offers I wouldn't have made the purchases.

    • The tracking was done after reporting the missing cash back. However, only less than $19 (including bank bonus) was tracked when I spent $161….

    This is hopeless. Will not be using shopback again.

    Trying to submit a missed cashback but now can’t login to my bws account for the receipt.

    • Same. Just grab order ID from email.

    • Is your login problem because the email verification code never arrives? That's the issue I'm having now.

      If you're having the issue on desktop, try the app. If you've already logged in to the app previously you can access order history from there. At least that worked for me.

  • Have never had an issue with SB back in the past using their website, but I purchased $88 worth via paypal on 6th October, its in my click history. still no tracking, have made a manual claim…will see how it goes

    • Done that and still nothing.

      I now have two orders showing as pending under the 10% bank bonus challenge, but both tracked as $0.00.
      Update: That has now changed to $8.90 and $7.60 (the correct amounts for spending $89 and $76). Regular cashback hasn't been corrected.

      This is beyond frustrating, as i'm owed $32.93 for one order (inc. bank bonus), and $28.12 for the other order (inc. bank bonus).

      I wouldn't have made either purchase if not for the cashback deal.

          Thanks. I appreciate that it's being investigated, but as good as the deal was, it's not worth the hassle if we have to encounter issues like this.

          I'm still hoping it'll be sorted out eventually, but it is a tad damaging to Shopback when something like this occurs - even if the fault lies with BWS - it was their website (and even their app) that was completely down for several hours that night, showing no products in the search results, no products for sale.

          Only the BWS (bank bonus cashbacks) are showing up correctly for me with a "tracked" status.

          If I click on "I don't see my Cashback yet" - the two orders that I reported, now show "Ka-ching! Cashback found" for both, but no dollar value is shown.

          I guess that's progress?

          I just don't want to wait months for the cashback to be confirmed only to have the regular cashback and bank bonus cashbacks be rejected for whatever reason, then have to chase it up again. I've collected both orders. I have emails and account statements that show the payments for both orders. I'm quietly confident it will be sorted eventually. It just shouldn't have been this difficult.

      I have done this, as have others. Extra work, high likelihood of getting 'lost' in all of our other purchases, high likelyhood of being rejected by shopback. It's annoying to say the least.

      As with others here, I would not have made the purchase if it were not for the cashback.

    my tracking finally came through (from the missing cashback claims) but the cashback rate is only the tiny normal rate, not the 27% it is supposed to be….only got $.97 for $59 transactions. Bank upsize is correct 10%

        I've sent a message to gotyourback about it. I had even made a note of the upsized rates in the missing cashback reports. I've also emailed them about this issue
        They are telling me it is still being "investigated" so the rate is the lower amount atm and will be changed once the investigation is complete…..still not sure if I should bother to pick up…god this is such a mess

      • Yep. $165 spent on two separate orders. Bank bonus is now showing correct amounts ($8.90+$7.60) so I get maybe $16.50 back?

        (Missing cashback has been filed on both orders, or at least I think it was those two clicks… there was a click within 3 minutes of eachother so it may be possible I filed missing cashback on the wrong click, but surely they can see I made the purchases and collected them. I sent them images of that with the missing cashback reports).

        But if the regular cashback doesn't track, the bank bonus will surely be rejected with it.

        So, we wait, and we wait, and what?

    • understand that the Cashback is tracking lower once you submit the Missing Cashback report from your end but the Cashback amount will be updated once the investigation is done

    I too got a reduced estimate awaiting investigation.
    How are they getting their estimate wrong when they know the upsize percentage at the time purchase?

    It's like they're incorrectly using the normal percentage.

  • i submitted a claim last night. 2 hours ago, I got the correct Bank Bonus (10%) but the standard 27% was not tracked.

    • I received a Bank bonus email with the correct bonus but no standard cashback email, however the standard cashback is showing in my Cashback In transactions, albeit at the incorrect rate 1.65%. I expect Shopback will correct the standard rate once the transaction is confirmed with BWS.

  • Anybody know how long BWS will usually hold the order before cancelling it if we don't pick up? Do they at least call us before cancelling? Like many others, waiting for the tracking to be fixed before collecting.

      I think it's store dependant but in my experience they hold it a very long time. Just be careful because sometimes it gets marked as collected even though you haven't.

      I've also received calls to collect from bws

  • Whoever is found to be a fault during mass non-trackings (Shopback or BWS) should really be funding an inconvenience payment to affected accounts. At least that way there would be incentive to ensure it's less likely to happen in the future

    • Which makes me think 2 things

      1 - will the bank bonus get rejected, if regular cashback doesn't track?
      2 - if they can see the bank bonus and have got the amounts right, it makes me think "duh, shouldn't Shopback then see that an order was made and track/correct the regular cashback amounts?"

      Why is the bank bonus now reflecting the right amounts, where is Shopback getting that data from? If they have that information, then surely, they can see the order was made for that amount, apply the 27% to it as promised, and show that information in the app or under our accounts on Shopback.

    Raised a claim as you all, and got the reply, saying investigation…, then ticket closed AUTOMATICALLY. What a ridiculous date provided and WHO will still remember after 3 months later. As usual, the cashback will get 'cancelled' eventually. I had this experience last year, and just realized after passing a couple of months.


    "Our team is currently working diligently with our merchant partner to validate your missing Cashback transaction. We aim to update your Cashback status by 4 January 2025. Please note that the final Cashback amount for this transaction will be confirmed on that date.
    While we await confirmation, we'll close this ticket for now. However, rest assured you'll receive a separate email notification once the investigation is complete."

  • Mine has now tracked at $1.09 for a $66 purchase which is simply wrong. Judging from the other comments this is another monumental stuff up by ShopBack which needs to be fixed.

    BS. I put in a claim, and they're now tracking my purchase at 1.6%, not 27%.
    Fix your system, shopback!!

    After filing the missing cashback reports the bank bonus amounts are correct at $8.90 ($89 order) and $7.60 ($76 order).

    But what the hell is going on with the regular cashback?
    The $89 purchase tracking with $1.47 cashback.
    The $76 purchase tracking with $1.25 cashback.

    That’s not 27% - both orders were made during the 27% cashback deal. If the bank bonus is correct why is the regular cashback not???

    I’ve only ever had minor issues with Shopback, but they were always resolved correctly and quickly. This is a joke!

    I just want to be paid what I was promised.

      Understand your concern about this however during investigation the Cashback amount will be tracked lower but it will be corrected once the investigation is completed

        No offence, but if Shopback can calculate and display the bank bonus amounts correctly, then they know damn well how much was spent on each.order.

        Therefore, they can use that exact same data to correctly calculate and display the 27% cashback for each order.

        It shouldn’t take days, weeks or months “to investigate”.

          Do note that the standard validation period for Cashback from BWS is 90 days from the date of purchase

            @gotyourback: Yeah, i'm fine with waiting up to 90 days for the tracked cashback to turn confirmed so we can withdraw it.

            What i'm not fine with is waiting up to 90 days, with lower amount showing, with absolutely no guarantee we will get the full 27% cashback as promised, or worse still, the bank bonus gets rejected as a result of the regular bonus not tracking correctly after the 90 days.

            The Bank Bonus tracks at the correct rate - so Shopback MUST know how much the order value was - if they can calculate 10% for the Bank Bonus - why can't they calculate the 27% correctly???

      If they can calculate the bank bonus correctly then they know damn well how much was spent and can easily calculate AND display the 27% cashback correctly.

      No excuses. We shouldn’t have to wait weeks or months for this to be sorted. It’s bad enough we have to wait for the cashback to become available and added so we can actually withdraw it. This whole thing has made me totally give up on Shopback.

    I got the 1.6% default default cashback amount also after submitting a claim, but confident it will be sorted. Had a similar event in the July BWS deal but was sorted within 2 weeks and correct amount paid https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856764

    ShoCKback: 6 days later correct bank bonus tracked. After submitting the claim, only standard 1.6% are in the My Cashback list.
