usb 2 is a bit old hat isnt it?

USB 3 would be more useful for the price

  • Ipad uses 2.1-2.4amp for charging…?

  • I wonder how it compares to this $1 one on ebay?

    OK.. plus $4 postage.

    Says output is 1000mA

    • I have been using it for more than one year. The built quality is quite poor but it works perfectly fine for my usb stick, keyboard, mouse, printer, remote control, and Samsung phone charging.

I have no Apple devices, so can not comment on the1000mA.

  • up to 480mb/s on usb 2?!?!?!

    • Yup, theoretically USB 2.0 can support upto 480mb/s. However, it primarily depends on built quality of the port and the capability of connected device itself (says USB stick)

  • US adapter, almost certainly not Australian Approved - so not technically legal to import and use this here.

Plus it's a CRAZY high price for a old USB 2.0 Hub, even if it could charge an iDevice.

  • If it is 1100D, harvey norman sells $397 now
