401

Great deal, simular to the $10 off from Eatnow but this is $15 off. Site seem the same as Eatnow and same stores but not all so check first.

$5 gets you $20 to spend on food for delevery or pickup. Can be used at store that take online payment not cash only stores.

    "Valid for new customers only"

I find that strange for a group buying site.

    Oh, well.

  • new customers of Delivery Hero not our deal. But you can create many accounts if you have different email addresses :)

  • seems delivery hero has less options than eatnow, no chinese restaurant from delivery hero near my place.

    • +3

I have 2 places in my entire postcode.

One is minimum order of $70, the other is crap food and they are both horribly overpriced.

      • Yes. Very few near home, that take vouchers, & are expensive. Some are +$12 delivery! Searching Brissie CBD gives places 10Km away. Not worth it.

  • Sure Delivery Hero has less options but I only need one that I like! Good deal :)

  • Does my girlfriend count as a new user if she signs up and uses the same address I've ordered from before?

    • +1

      course…

      • +1

        Apt username :)

    • Legitimate question, new user is anyone with a new username+email+phone number. All other details can be the same.

  • +2

On Delivery Hero site, Click the search filter option: Online payment/Coupon only
T&C: Valid for restaurants displaying green 'VOUCHER' icon only - hardly any within 10km of me.

    • I panicked for a moment. Luckily the restaurants near my place with minimum order of $20 and multiple good reviews turned out to accept online payment and voucher codes.

  • Delivery only.

  • +1

Too bad there's no delivery.. only delevery sigh.. first world problems

    • +1

"no delivery.. only delevery sigh.." - haha!

  • For anyone in the Melbourne CBD, I highly recommend Panned Pizza.

  • +1

Can it only be used from Wednesday?

    • That's what it says (12/12/2012 = Wed)

  • Ah good, they fixed it this time so that you could only buy one voucher. Good if you're new to the website.

  • Valid from 12 December 2012 to 20 January 2013.

  • Do you join Delivery Hero before your first order or when you are placing the order?

    • To redeem your voucher, follow these four steps:

      1) Go to www.deliveryhero.com.au and enter your postcode.
      2) Pick a restaurant that offers the type of food you are craving and make sure it has the green 'voucher' sign displayed or if using the app, use the “voucher” filter.
      3) Add food items to your cart and press 'Order'.
      4) Choose payment by credit card or PayPal, type in your voucher code and press 'Order
      Now'.

      • Thanks :)

I'm trying it now. But the 2 businesses I've tried are supposed to be open and taking orders and the site keeps saying I'm trying to pre-order at a time the shop is closed :S

        I'm clicking on Now …

Time to wipe the cookies maybe.

      • Hmm I can place the order, but it keeps trying to bill me $20 even though I've now worked out the code

      • +1

Ah, this voucher kicks in 12 Dec

        • +1

I can post a receipt of the 20 dollar credit I received today. It's working as of right now. You need to use the code in the pdf they send you.

        • +1

Correct. When I tried the code on my pc at work it got stuck. When I tried it using the iPhone app it worked fine.

Bought twice. Once with paypal account and another with credit card.

Less choice for me in Brisbane than eatnow. Also includes a restaurant than didn't accept a earlier eatnow order due to a previous business (same address, same Indian food, just a name change). I guess its the customers that inform them of a renamed businesses when their order isn't accepted.

  • For the people who bought this deal more than once.. Did you bother to read the fine print ? "Valid for new customers only" If you have a separate home address with a different email I am sure it would be fine though. I know as I have tried this same deal previously with a coupon code and no purchase of $5 required.

The first order was fine and the 2nd order is not valid!

    • Luckily I live in an apartment have have 4 street addresses to choose from. E.g. 1, 2, 3, 1-3

      • Do you own all the apartment rooms or do you just wait outside for the food?

        • Single unit number. It's like 1/1-3 Oz St so 1/1 Oz St, 1/2 Oz St, and 1/3 Oz St works.

  • For those in western suburbs of Adelaide, highly recommend Bellavita. Been a regular for years.

I really need to read stuff before buying. Only just realised that restaurants must accept vouchers :( nothing within range for my area and unlike eatnow you can't do pickup :( waste of $5

    • I spent time on the research only to realise I had wasted my time, but did not waste $5.
This deal is useless for me.
Last saturday's menulog deal was great - $10 off multiple orders & plenty of good restaurants close by. Ate for free.

  • +1

I am going to ring and see if I can pick up. Even though delivery will still be charged, I still save $10

    • Yep might just set the delivery address to their own shop and write in the notes that I will pick the order up then I will call them to confirm.

Just found a place that accepts vouchers and has free delivery and isn't really that far anyway (18km)

  • I think we don't need different address if you apply for many vouchers. If 5 new persons in one household to apply for 5 vouchers, I think it is allowed.

  • Redeemed. Awesome deal, thanks very much!! Tandoori chicken + bunch of smaller goodies on the way for 11 bucks delivered. :)

    • Can you use the voucher today? Is it valid from next Wednesday?

      • I've used mine today, was delivered at 5:40. Tipped the delivery driver.

edit: brought the initial price down from 26 to 6 (inc delivery fee)

        so 5 + 6 + tip (don't tip, waste of time)

  • I can't redeem today. I tried several restaurants.

I just ordered my meal in WA at masala indian clarkson,

they rung me up and told me they don't even know who this company is and when they checked the website they did not allow for there use,

so i lost my $5 for the voucher which is the only place in my suburb and now i will have to fight to get my money back for the meals i just ordered,

    Complete waste of time

    • That is really bad - wonder what the hell is going on here :|

    • I've had total success with two of my orders, but was paranoid about the same thing. How does a restaurant agree to be placed on the website and then deny any knowledge of it?

AFAIK, they still receive the full amount from the purchase (bar a 30% deduction to deliveryhero/eatnow for orders made through the service…..which they wouldn't have had anyway)

  • Dang, I have ourdeal credit but can't use it for this deal :(

  • nice work, Curry for tea one night this week!. CHEERS OP

  • i used it on local pizza in melbourne on the same day as purchase
    worked a charm

$15 pizza garlic bread and drink
    + $6 delivery
    total $21 value
    paid $6 ($5 for deal + $1 difference above $20)

  • coupon worked fine after i removed the first 4 letters of it.

    • It's a 6 character coupon code.

  • +1

My second attempt to use the voucher hasn't gone too well.

I am now definitely inside the allowed dates.
Restaurant #1 - turns out to be closed for 2 days (unfortunate coincidence)
I try to place the order and the Delivery Hero Voucher Code doesn't seem to do anything to the order.
I don't want to risk continuing the order with no saving indicated so I call them.
They run me through the order process and ask to send me out another voucher, which it turns out I won't get tonight :S

That doesn't really matter though; I'm told their site crashed earlier today and they have a backlog of orders to sort out, so they ask me not to place an order?

There's nothing on their site about do not order because there is a crash affecting them in Victoria or Australia wide? :S

    • It's fixed today. At first I tried ordering but the discount code wouldn't work. I grabbed the phone and was about to call deliv.hero but decided to try it one last time online and it worked!

    • I meant to get back earlier.

I also found it was working today, along with my code from the previous purchase. :)

I put in a pre-order for 7pm and it arrived right on time :)

  • Trying to order dinner, but doesn't seem to be taking my voucher code and the payment total comes up without the $20 off :(

Also tried calling Delivery Hero's 1300 number, but busy for last hour or so… I am hungry…

    • +1

On the voucher, did you use the 6 character code?
The top left is the OurDeal code, but right underneath it is the code to use on OurDeal.

They told me to type it in, rather than copy and paste.

      Apart from that, good luck.

      • I used the 6 character code after reading previous comments, but I copied and pasted… Thank you for the tip, foundit! I will try again next time :)

        • A friend said she was having problems today. She typed in the code but it cycled forever.

Eventually she tried clicking to proceed with the payment (she was using paypal) and when she got to the paypal log in screen, the total had been adjusted.

          Good luck :)

  • Slightly off topic, has anyone used the referral discounts to make a purchase?

Can you use more than one referral discount on a purchase?
Can you take the purchase total to $0? (eg 3 $10 discounts on a $29 item)
Are the rules for them printed anywhere?

Thanks for any help you can provide
