  • I'm guessing that is $52 per person?

Listed as Spring Banquet Menu on your website for $52 as well as regular price.

Yeah just saw that as well, looks like advertisement….

where is the value when it is the norm?

True! Come on bokchoytang, prove to OzBargain that you are not just trying to get free advertising. Give us a "secret" password that allow that exact $52 deal become $16!!

No amazing deal here, just their normal menu price renamed as a Christmas special and a small glass of champagne after paying $52. Neg for no bargain and also misleading us by saying the dessert is complimentary when it's always on the menu.

  • If the "deal" up there is any representation of their food then thanks but no thanks…

  • mixed reviews on urbanspoon anyway. wouldnt bother with this one http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/71/760236/restaurant/CBD/Bokchoy…

UrbanSpoon isn't always a good measure for Asian restaurants; my favourite yum cha place scores less than 60%. I love it because it reminds me of Hong Kong, complete with poor service, which leads to its less favourable reviews.

  • Agree, Urbanspoon is 73% which isn't bad but there are plenty of similarly fancy Chinese restaurants within walking distance that offer the exact dishes for a cheaper price. Fed Square rent is pricey but doesn't justify the price. Hu-Tong dumpling(82%) is my pick in the area, as fancy as Bokchoy, up there with the best dumplings (I'm sure others have their picks) in Melbourne.

No deal. $52/head is expensive for Chinese restaurants. The dishes advertised are cheap..

  • Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam, spammity spam, spammity spam.

  • Won't be giving this deal a + but can say that outside of china the best Mapo Tofu I've had was at bokchoy.

  • i live north of sydney and there are heaps of christmas day buffets up here for $40 - $60. so i dont think thats special.
